That’s good to know. I was just worried the embassy might be picky with the annotation. I have heard that some gov’t offices here in the Philippines like SSS that would require you to have the annotation printed when it is handwritten. 🤦‍♀️

Hello. Does the US embassy accepts handwritten annotations on birth certificate? I was born out of wedlock. My parents got married in 1995 and my birth cert was registered in 1996. When they registered my BC , they still used my mother’s maiden name as my last name. They just wrote an annotation on the upper right corner that I am legitimated by subsequent marriage.
