Employers have been doing this now too..
I actually think that is great for me! Maybe it will go faster that way when they can see your legit.
People tend to show their real selves to their "friends" I just don't understand how people can post some crazy things on different websites and think that it somehow doesn't affect their reality.

So I received in the mail from USCIS a friendly reminder to file my husband's I-751... Nice! But I thought they didn't do this... haha.. well his GC expires in January.. so now my Husband is asking me everyday if we've sent it yet... lol....

We finally were Approved!!! I called 2 weeks ago and finally had to pretend like I was changing our address to speak to an actual person.. once I did, she looked up our case and said that yep, its been over 6 months (really!)... so she opened up an inquiry on our case, and the San Antonio office emailed us the next day saying it was normal processing still.. whatever..., but perhaps the touch and all the prayers made them open our file at least... and we got the approval email today... !!! Here's wishing everyone the best of luck!

PSST!! Like a bump... still asking questions and no green card yet... Does anyone remember that RFE Trick to get through at CSC?

Our case was transfered to CSC at the end of May or early June... we still have never heard anything since then... is there anybody else out there who's been waiting this long???
I called the main service line and they say don't call before 180 days to ask any questions... well 180 days was 2 weeks ago.. so I am trying to remember how to get through to the CSC service center, since they will probably be able to look up easier than the main one... does anyone remember how to get through to a representative??
I don't think there are many April filers left who haven't had something done??

Hi Everyone! Sorry I havent been around in a while... life is busy...
Is anyone who submitted AOS in April and whose case was transferred to California still waiting on your AOS approval?
I am just wondering if I should start being concerned since our case has been there since June and no touches or anything on it since then....

Guys, maybe your touches have something to do with your EAD being approved? What do you think? Or maybe EAD napproval shouldn't affect AOS? Just curious...
I don't think the AOS is connected to the EAD since they are in 2 separate places... well here's to hoping anyways
... looks like stuff is moving at least!! Here's to a speedy AOS for everyone!! then we can all do the

My AOS was touched today too!
I don't usually check it everyday, so I don't know if this is the first day... and i got a notice that our EAD card was finally mailed today!! we can do the happy dance now for finding jobs!! Good luck to everyone!~

:dance: thanks!! I was worried that I would get an RFE, because I only sent in 2 passport pictures with the whole package, and had heard on here that you were suppose to send 2 with each application or 6 total, but I guess they didn't need 6... good to know!

I think discrimination only counts towards things you do not have a choice about... Being fat is not an unchangeable condition like race, gender, etc...

That is no excuse. Every person is covered under the "Good Samaritan" clause, stating that in emergency situations any act in an effort to help a victim, whether it be CPR or dragging them to safety, cannot put that person in legal trouble, even if it did more harm than good... meaning they cannot sue

My husband is also the "cook" of our family, but he does like sweets... I think the cookout thing is a good idea... his sister is going to come that weekend and "surprise" him (even though he already knows, bc she is staying with us haha)... Did you wrap presents for him or just kind of give them to him? I don't want to make him feel like a child, but I think it would be fun... still not sure about that one yet... can you give me the name of that website you used?Any more good stories out there?

Well my husbands birthday is on June 14th and we will have been married 3 months then
... he told me that they really didn't celebrate birthdays in Africa and don't think too much about them... but I want it to be special for him, especially since its our first one together!! I don't really know what to get him or do though.. and we are on a budget, so I can't do anything TOO big... ....so I wanted to see if I could get some ideas from my wonderful VJ fam... what did you get your husband/fiance for his birthday? Any fun plans that he enjoyed doing? What about something that made him feel close to home? Thanks to everyone for your help!
