First time poster here. My Fiancée and I are trying to file for the K-1 Visa. We have everything ready to send but the problem is her birth certificate has a middle name in it so that’s what I included in the forms. The problem is, in the Philippines, they want to drop her middle name on her passport and change her birth certificate because she should not have a middle name since her mother and father aren’t married (her mother used her middle name for my fiancée which isn’t allowed in the Philippines). The process can take up to half a year to change the birth certificate. I was wondering, if she has no middle name in her passport but it is in the K-1 Visa application, would the US embassy reject it? I called the USCIS this morning and they said it would fine on their end but it really depends on the US embassy in the Philippines when they interview. Any input would be helpful, thank you.

Thank you so much Hank for the straightforward answer. Yes the Philippines is really picky, we will go ahead and fix her birth certificate first before proceeding. We appreciate your help!
