  1. well, I made a huuuuuuuuge mistake and can blame only myself for it. I was preparing that package (I-485) for several months and now I found out that I sent it to a wrong address. I sent it to USINS in Lincoln, NE. I called them today and they told me that after receiving that package they will send it back to me. But I am not sure about it. It's just so upseting. I am so mad at myself.

The guy from USCIS told me that I need to wait 15 days and than they send it back to me. The problem is that I submitted just I-130, I-864, G-325A all together, but I-485 is still with me. I just don't know what to do besides praying.

So here is the question: can I send form I-485 to a right address without the rest of forms? And send those whenever I get them back?

    Thank you very much

  2. we've got a problem. My husband doesn't have any income for 2004 because he was going to school full time and his parents clamed him. So I called to the USCIS several times trying to find out what we sohuld do about it and should we have any prove of it. One persone said that yes, we needed to encolse his parents' tax returns for that year and a letter explaining everything. The second time I called, they told me that we don't need any returns from his parents just a letter with explanation. So we are kind of lost. It's the last thing that is holding us from sending the papers in. Maybe someone had this kind of situation and can help us, please. Thank you very much.

  3. What a wonderful and very insightful story. :) This could be useful for *any* foreign spouse. My husband came here from Canada and left his WHOLE family behind...and he's not been able to see them for almost a year. He does talk to them regularly, but yanno, it's just not the same. Yet, he says he's fine. We talk a lot...and he doesn't hold his emotions in. I know there are times he misses his family and I hope we'll be able to fly home soon. He might not have had all the adjustments as your precious wife, but he still had a few and our ability to talk about them helps tremendously. I think it's incredibly sensitive of you to recognise all that you have about her adjustment and giving her the time she needs, as well as the outlet of talking about them. Sounds like you two are on the right track! :)

Well, I know how your husband feels and everyone who left their countries and families behind and moved to the US. I don't regret a bit and I met my husbnad here. I came here in summer 2005. Didn't expect to stay here more than for 4 months. But life is very tricky sometimes and brings a lot of surprises. I met my husband and we got married. It's 2007 now and I haven't seen my family for 2 years. I miss them a lot. I have never left my family for such a long time. First few months I was depressed a lot. My husband (I Love Him sooooo MUCH!!!) always were there to support me. We are planing to go to Russia next summer in July. I hope by that time I get my GC. :)

    Thank you.

  4. I know that it's priceless to have your loved ones with you and I am sure my husband would pay and do anything to keep me here. But what if people can't afford those outrageous prices? What if it's gonna take them more than 3-4 years to get all money together? I know couple situations like that. SO I just feel sorry for people who don't have such money.

  5. HI to evryone. Thank you for your answers. Well, first of all I wanted to appologize for not writing the question in the application right. Next time I'll do that, I promise. :)

Second, my J1 visa is not the subject to 212 (E).

So Answer is "I am applying for an adjustment to permanent resident status because an immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number has been approved"? But the thing is that I didn't apply for A#. I should put it anyway? Sorry, for stupid questions....

  6. hello everybody,

me and my husband have some trouble getting health insurance. We applied with blue cross blue shields and they denied us because we haven't been at the doctors in a while.

    Nina

I applied with them too and now waiting for approval, hopefully. I am thinking about getting insurance through my husband but it's very expensive. We will pay almost $500 a month for me.

  7. Hi there to everyone. Didn't no exactly where to ask my question. It's about form I- 485. I have a problem with choosing the right answer from the list in part 2. My situation is that I came here with J1 visa and than changed my status to F1, was going to school. Got married in 2006. SO what should I put there? Please, help me. I really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

  8. I bought my wedding dress with my future mother-in-law. It was interesting experience. We were just driving in town and she told me let's go to look at wedding dresses. We went and I got one that I tried the first one. :)

    That's how it looks like.

  9. I almost got into that kind of situation. My husband almost kissed one of his friends. She came over to our place and invited both of us to go to the movies. When I went to the bathroom in the middle of the movie she tried to kiss him and touch his thing. He ignored her and didn't let her. So I think I can trust him so far.

I voted that cheater is always a cheater. I am sorry but that's how it works most of the time, unfortunately.

  10. I met my husband Robert when I came to the States as J1 student trhough Work and Travel USA program. Our mutual friend introduced us to each other, but Robert likes to make up stories about how we met. He usually says that he ordered me from one of the web-sites in the internet. Kinda funny and it's amazing that people actually believe us. :)
