That is a big help. Thank you soooo much. Its hard to leave my friends here and read about america, that is is not easy to find real friends there.

I am closer to Magnolia, but it isn't like across the street either. Nice to see people from the North though. I have the problem where all the German groups, even those with actual Germans, cater mainly to people from the South. :/

It would be nice to stay in contact with people from the north. Anybody here who lives in Los Angeles? Burbank or Santa Clarita? For my children it would be good too to meet german kids, especially in the begining. B)

In four weeks I move to Los Angeles). Is anybody out there who is interested in having a coffee, shopping, watching a movie or just to sit together and have fun? I´m 41 years old and have two kids.

My fiance is american and I´m from germany( Bad Zwischenahn, Oldenburg). Sorry about my english, I have to practise it.. I´m so happy, that I found this thread, because I have to leave my friends here, and I know that I will miss to go to the cinema with them or have a cocktail or go shopping and buy some stuff...or...or...or..

You're from Oldenburg? I was born in Norden, Ostfriesland and grew up in Dornum!

And you are sooooo far away from Los Angeles....

Thursday I got my pack3, without NOA2 or note from NVC!! It is really strange, isn´t it?

But I´m happy and working on the pack3 now. Keep my fingers crossed for everybody, who is still waiting...

I´m still waiting, too. As you can see in my time line, we got touched on the 21. and 22. of May. Until then nothing...

Hallo Nina, ich habe gerade diesen thread gefunden...wir haben das gleiche Problem, ich weiss nicht, ob mein Verlobter uns sponsorn kann(meine beiden Kinder und mich). Da er erst seit Juni letzten Jahres wieder in L.A. wohnt, vorher hat er zwei Jahre in Deutschland gelebt, hat er noch kein ausreichendes Einkommen. Habe ich das richtig verstanden, dass er pro Person ca. 4000$ haben muss? Und kann ich ihm notfalls Geld überweisen(habe hier meine Möbel und Auto verkauft)? Der Thread ist ja schon etwas älter, hast du schon eine Lösung gefunden?
