Hello everybody! I received my green card last May of this year and we just moved out from our apartment. My question is, do i need to report my change of address to the USCIS even if I already got my Green Card? Just want to make sure before it's too late. Better safe than sorry. Hope to get your replies soon. Thank you very much.

I already got my green card and planning to enroll in a community college to take up Associate Degree Nursing. I just wanna be clarified if we are now entitled to receive federal scholarships/grants? I've been trying to research about this topic in here but just can't find any.Hope somebody might be able to help shed some light on this matter.Thank you in advance.

We're finally done with all the RFE nonsense.
Got a letter from USCIS today saying our case was transferred to CSC on June 23rd.
Hopefully things will pick up now. We're also still waiting for EAD.
Congrats beejay for the transfer!Hope everything else will progress quickly. The faster, the better right?
EAD card production ordered last June 23! Still no word on my AOS though...Congrats MariEnMichelle for the EAD approval! The best is yet to come and surely the wait is coming to an end very soon.Hang in there!

question about AP...
I received it in the mail last week and noticed that on the lower left corner of the AP document my picture with a name above it that was not mine....it says "Robert M. Cowan"....was it supposed to say my name? There is also a signature above the name that is not mine....is this normal or did USCIS make a mistake on my AP?
Thanks!
I got the same and USCIS didn't make a mistake I believe. The name and signature that appears above the picture in the AP must be an authorized signatory from the issuing agency. That's what I believe. For as long as you got the right info at the topmost part of the form then you're good I suppose. Any thoughts from others?

TO ALL MARCH FILERS
Just thought it would be great to start with the thread for all AOS March filers. We will submit our AOS application on Monday (March3). So, with all the rest who are filing this March come and sign up! Good luck to all MARCH FILERS!
Did you send pics and proofs of the relationship when you sent the AOS? I was wondering if that makes it go any faster.
thanks
I know someone who did that and they had the green card in 2 months with an interview in NYC.
I didn't send any pictures as proof of relationship for the AOS. We just sent the required documents stated in the application instructions. Based on my observation, it has became apparent that the speed of approval doesn't solely depend on the completeness of the submitted documents but a combination of a lot of factors. I hope this answers your question.

Quick Question...when you apply for a Social after you have the EAD, is there anything written on the social like only valid with DHS authorization??
Yes, the restriction will still be written in your SS card. However, if you get your GC you can return to the SSA office and get an unrestricted SS card. Hope this helps.

Really??? hmmm... then I would worry too.....Hey everyone! Its been one week so far and we are still waiting on hubbys social security card... hopefully it comes sooooon !!!!!!!!It's been 2 weeks but still waiting too. So, you're not alone. We still have 2 weeks more to go before we can call SSA Office. Hopefully, we'll receive it soon!
Rhosie
Don't worry guys.. you will receive it very soon... I was waiting for my SSN 4 weeks (before EAD having a K-1 visa)... but after EAD I received it in 3 days (asked them to change my last name in card)... I guess it took long time in the beginning because it was first time... Good luck
Same as you Elmira. I requested for a name change from single to my married name. But still have to undergo the same waiting time. Anyway, I will be patiently waiting as always.
Rhosie
My waiting for the Social Security card is over now. Just checked the mailbox and it's there! It took 2 weeks and 1 day for it to arrive in the mail. I also got my state ID yesterday which I applied for on the same day I applied for my SSN. So, it's done and I just need to find a job. How's your job hunting going Elmira?
