any update from your case. my dad emailed the embassy multiple times and finally this morning they changed the status to refused again but few minutes later it changed to expired.. the date of last update changed hoping it will be fixed by tomorrow or will do another inquiry.  The embassy doesnt even reply to emails. 

My dad sponsored his brother for immigration. They had their interview before covid. They took his passport. It was under administrative processing and visas were stopped due to trump
and covid but now his status says “You have been notified that your registration for an immigrant visa was cancelled, and any petition approved on your behalf was also cancelled.” The previous correspondence we had with them was last March 2020 where we submitted answers they had about siblings etc.

we are so confused what’s going on. The embassy kept saying we will tell you if we need any additional documents. They never said anything so we assumed it’s due to covid. Now they have canceled our application. I sent an inquiry to the embassy. 

another thing I logged into the ceac account and his application has been re-open. Pleaseee someone if you are dealing with this tell me any info. We are now thinking to hire lawyer 

any updates. My uncle is in same situation but they already had their interview before covid. my dad sent an email to the embassy.

we contacted the embassy through usadocs. They sent a list of additional questions to sent back to them. We emailed the answers back to them today... 

Today both cases the status changed from AP to refused.. Panicking a little. The date did not change. It says the following "A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application.

In case the button isn’t working, check if there are any other documents that were rejected or missing from other sections. Try deleting and re-uploading these documents and the button should work!

we are unable to still submit the document. they are uploaded. we tried to contact islamabad embassy through the online form we are not getting any reply.. CAN someone please suggest an alternative to contact them since they don't list a number. we just want a confirmation that the documents were received. we tried to upload again not luck! 

My uncle had an interview at the US embassy in Islamabad. My dad sponsored him. They asked for more sibling photos. I uploaded them to the CEAC website but I was not able to press submit so their status says uploaded. I read somewhere that they can still view them. I tried to email them but they don't reply. Has any one had any luck getting a reply from islamabad embassy? Below is the time line.. 

7/11/19 interview 

7/11/19 visa status ready 

7/11/19 AP

7/15/19 uploaded requested docs to ceac website

7/18/19 AP

7/19/19 READY

7/19/19 READY

Has anyone had this experience of the status change.. I am making the assumption that they did view the docs because they changed to AP after I uploaded the requested docs.. I have sent an inquiry but I am not able to get reply. Should I fax them or wait?

My dad sponsor my uncle. Everything was going great. He had his interview. During the interview they asked for more sibling pictures or a dna test. Additionally, the asked for a new joint sponsor. However when my uncle got home and looked at the 221(g) form.. it was asking for matrimonial pictures and letters between spouse. My uncles wife is not planning to migrate at this time. This is a F-41 category. We don't know what to do. They said something else during the interview and wrote something else. Any suggestions.

Yes apparently the embassy was able to view the document without us having to hit the submit button. We just uploaded it and they viewed it. Be patient in Sha Allah u will get a positive response soon

Yes thankfully heard back form them today with positive feedback. It took the Abu Dhabi embassy less than a week to respond. Make sure u send the embassy an email as well so that they can look into ur case earlier. 

great! Happy for you. Was your assumption correct that the embassy has to open the submit button again on the CEAC website. I sent an inquiry form  directly to the embassy as they don't do emails (islamabad). Website says they respond in 5 days... its been 5 days... hopefully tomorrow is the day 😅

So we did just that, Uploaded the document AND SENT THE EMBASSY AN EMAIL WITH the Case number in the subject line and wrote that we have uploaded the required document onto ceac but submit button is disabled. I believe that ceac will activate submit button once they receive ur email that u have uploaded the reqd documentation they asked of u at the interview. It is also possible that the embassy can access ur uploaded document only once they receive ur email that u have uploaded it. Once the embassy informs nvc that a new required document has been uploaded by the immigrant or petitioner, nvc will enable the submit button and the embassy will be able to view the document themselves. (I'm just stating this on what I believe the procedure is). It's also possible that the embassy is still able to access an uploaded document thru help from the nvc without having us actually hit the submit button. 

hi, I also uploaded and send an inquiry to the embassy but have not heard back. The submit botton is still not working. Have you heard back from them?

but i am not able to click submit. I don't know why. I tried different browsers.. 

hi all. At the interview they requested more photos and to upload that to the CEAC website under additional docs. I uploaded the pics to the website but I am not able to click the submit button. The status of the pics says uploaded. Does this mean they received them or not. The instructions just said upload and did not mention pressing submit. PLEASEEEE someon reply because I am desperate otherwise I want to find some other way to submit.

I am currently dealing with this issue. Embassy interview requested more  pictures. I uploaded them under civil documents per instructions given at the embassy. I uploaded the docs but am not able to click submit.. Please someone help want to get this done. the status of the documents currently says uploaded but unable to submit.. thanks a million.
