I can still continue to enjoy the medical/travel benefits during the unpaid period, I therefore want to quit my job as late as I can.

I got the K1 Visa and decided to move to the U.S. in February 2020. I'm wondering if it is okay for me to keep my current job in my home country (I applied for the unpaid leave until the end of next year so I don't need to work after I move to the U.S.)? I keep my job as I want to go back to my home country to work for a while after getting the green card.
I'm wondering if my current job affects the adjustment of status? Does anyone encounter similar situation? Thank you.
