UPDATE: I finally spoke with someone and he told me that it was beyond the three weeks that they are able to look at the documents but that he would speak with his supervisor and I would get a confirmation through the CEAC site.

What got me is this how is this any of my fault, why will I be held accountable for this that it went beyond the three weeks when all the information was on the site the very next day after it was requested three weeks ago? I'm venting and just frustrated, the customer service rep was not rude in the least bit, but that just ticked me off.

had the same call today.  how ling did it take the supervisor to look at your documents.  was told it can be 6 weeks.  crazy..

You’re an F3, so married son/daughter of a USC. I’m not saying 13 years of waiting is insignificant but, please, you’re an adult with a family of your own. You can’t compare that to the time spouses are apart. Yes, you are a “lower priority” in terms of immigration but if you were on my shoes and had to live apart from your husband for the first two years and 3 months of marriage you’d understand why. Most adults don’t live with their parents. And they survive. Many western countries don’t even permit adult children to immigrate to their parents’ country of residence - be glad you even have the opportunity, which is likely to be removed in the future anyway.

Immigration is a privilege and we just have to dance to their tune. However slow it may be. If the petitioner feels aggrieved at the length of time it is taking, he is welcome to contact his congressperson and request their assistance and involvement.

I imagine that many NVC employees are on vacation now because, you know, summer and all that, so this could be the reason for slower-than-recently processing. When did you pay the fees? It’s my understanding that even if you start uploading/sending months ago they don’t touch anything until fees are paid. It’s the government, after all.
