  1. hello guys can you help me please just a little concern here....do i need the original appointment letter from the embassy to present it for my early medical or still would be fine if it is just a copy from it ( fax)???any reply would be appreciated....PLSSss...thank you..

The time my fiancee got her appointment letter from the US embassy, she already had her medical early from what the USEM given to her, just in case that there would be a problem, it can be solve immediately. But she inquire that already to St.Luke's that once you got your appointment, you can go now for medical and there will be no problem about it. Bring the original copy of your appointment because they are looking into it. Make some duplicate. hope it will help you this. Goodluck!!!!

  2. Hmm, she had her SSN card and her passport and they still wouldn't add her to the account? This is very peculiar. It sounds like the branch you are at is very inexperienced and thinks that only State Driver's Licenses and US birth certificates count as acceptable ID. I would escalate it to the level above her - ask to speak to the branch manager. You might want to advise them that if they cannot accommodate you, that you are perfectly willing to move your accounts to another bank that can. It is surprising what they can accomplish when faced with that choice.

My fiance was able to add me to our joint accounts at the Bank of America before we were married, before I had a SSN and before I had a Georgia Driver's License. I used my Canadian passport and my Ontario Driver's License. When I got my SSN I went in and gave it to them for the files.

Good luck in getting this sorted out.

thanks Kathryn.. we are gonna try again with some else who knows what they are doing! lol!! she was just the lady at the front desk and she just made us stand there and I've been with this bank a long time.

  3. hi everyone..

today, my wife and I tried to go down to the bank and have her added to my checking and savings account, since we are married now(3-15-08).however, we were told her passport is not sufficient for them to use as Id. are we missing something? we showed our marriage certificate and ssn card. The woman made a few calls to verify the procedure.however she was unable to complete it for us at this time. any comments or ideas? Thank u in advance.

  4. Hi everyone..

we had our k-1 interview on Jan. 4th, approved with no problems. they didn't even check any chat logs or emails.(in fact I had forgotten to print out some of the emails from her and realized it too late but it didn't matter..)They seem to be more interested in if you meet the financial requirement and proof of engagement..like pics, ring receipt and our own scrapbook about our whole story on us and how we became to be.I also had to fret about not making it to the interview because of weather concerns and my flight was canceled and I was carrying a good portion of the docs and paperwork for the interview.but fortunately they found a different flight for me which made it possible for me to make it there the day before the interview. but all in all..we made it!!

we just arrived here last nite and shes in the kitchen making dinner as I type this.

    Thank you Lord!! :)

  5. Hey Adam,

as far as I know, they only require two copies of the 134 that are notorized but like everyone else I made two back up copies. Hey, what flight are you on out of Manila on the 17th? Me and my fiancee are on CO934 to Narita then to Houston, TX. We have our interview on Jan 9th. Let me know so maybe we can chat on the flight.

Best Wishes on your interview and hope the info helps

Sigh, I only made 1 copy I think. Gotta make a trip back to my bank anyhow I guess.

We are leaving on the 16th, and arriving on the 17th. So it will be different flights. MNL - Guam - Hawaii - Houston - ATL

Why do we need 2 original copies? I dont see anything anywhere stating we need 2 copies.

*boggles* If I make another now, it will be entirely different from the first one I did in October.

I haven't read anywhere it says to notarize 2 copies. you just need 1 copy for them and that is done. maybe someone will know whos been to the interview already.

  6. I had an employer letter made up by human resources already and its on company letterhead and it reads something like this..

    To whom it may concern,

John smith has been employed by company xyz since 7/31/87, when he was hired part time. He went full time on 01/22/91 and is currently working at our location as a permenant employee. his annual salary is $24,222/yearly.

then of course its signed by HR representative.

I don't have a position or title except I work the over nites as a full time employee. should I use this letter or do i need to ask them to do another with some more info? such as nature of work or etc.? thanks for your replies.

  8. I actually received it in the mail yesterday but i didn't get the mail right away. so this morning i went to get the mail and there was a envelope that was from uscis. I was perplexed what it could of been. I was thinking they sent me another copy of my noa1 or something. But it was my approval letter. It looks just like your noa1 except it has different wording contained on it. I am still totally shocked it was processed already.I was not expedite or anything. I also checked the website to check my status and it also says approval sent. I was expecting to be waiting on this for quite a few months, but thats not the case anymore. I have no idea why such a quick turn around!

  9. I submitted my petition and my check was cashed in a matter of days and my paper noa1 was in my mailbox in about a week. But I don't think the check cashing and noa1 are big factors. This is a long wait, no matter what way u look at it.However, i know its difficult just to see them take so long to cash the check and do the initial data entry. I am surprised they don't at least cash the checks a lot sooner...

  10. Hi everyone!! I will be filing for a k-1 and it won't be sent until probably sept. But i been getting a little start on this and have some questions. any input appreciated.

*on the I-129f,it asks for name of former spouse..my ex-wife just recently got remarried last month for the 3rd time,do i use her new last name?

*on the g-325a..it asks about employment for the last 5 years.I been at the same place full-time for at least 15.however, i work part-time now as well, sometimes as little as 1 day a week.should i even include that and i did work part-time last year with much more hours until that place closed.so, what do i do here?

*for putting together my evidence of meeting within the last 2 years..can i tape all my airline tickets, etc. onto blank white paper and write something under it and then photocopy them?

well thanks for reading and wish everyone a speedy Journey!!
