Thank you both!

So I adjusted my status from a B2 and got my green card earlier this week. I got the green card before my EAD was processed, so I never got it. I did mark yes, when it asked if I wanted to apply for a new SSN.
So my question is, since the whole EAD/AP was skipped and I already have my green card, should I wait for the SSN to come in the mail in 2 weeks or should I go to an office and apply from scratch?
Thanks all and have a great day!

Hi! I'm also in the sweet and tiring waiting period... I'm adjusting from a B2 based on marriage to a USC. Here's my process:
9/16 - Packet mailed through UPS
9/17 - Packet delivered to Chicago lockbox
9/23 - Card charge pending ($535+$1225)
9/24 - NOA letters mailed for all cases
9/24 - SMS received with Receipt numbers
9/28 - Received NOA letters in the mail
10/4 - Received biometrics appointment notice for 10/17

You also can use the https://www.uscis.gov/g-1450 to pay by credit card. But I would have the form for each petition. like advised about the check.
Yeah, that's what I'm submitting. Thanks!!

Make sure your issuing bank is advised of the upcoming transactions. Since these charges are manually entered they sometimes trip fraud prevention and are denied due to the larger amount. If that happens, the entire file comes back to you as they don't wait for the charge to be released.
This is great advise. I will call my bank today.

I would think to be safe, I would fill out 2 forms. They are going to treat the I130 separate from the I485, so I would use 2 - G-1450. It will help you out also, because you will see a separate charge for each petition, and know when they were accepted. They may process them separately when they received them also, so even if they are in the same envelope, they may go to 2 different people and if you only have payment for 1 or the other it might get mixed up. This is how I would do it to be safe.
Thank you! I really appreciate your response.

Hi everyone! When filing I-130 and I-485 in the same packet, do I only send one form to pay for the whole amount ($1760) or do I need to send 2 (one for $535 and one for $1225) so they are individual? (I'm paying with a card, so I'm submitting form G-1450)
If I need to submit two separate forms, is it ok if I just put them both on top of the entire binder or do they have to be, say, payment for I-130 on top of that section in my binder, and payment for I-485 on top of its section?
Thank you and I hope this is not confusing.

Hi. What happens if my ID is expired? Is it too late to include me in her bank account?
What kind of ID are you holding? Consular Card or passport? You should always have a valid ID on you.
Onto the bank account, I'd say ask your bank to add you. I don't know at which step of the process are you, but whatever updated info you get between filing and the interview, bring it with you.

Hey! On the same boat as you here.. The lease on our apartment includes me. I was able to open a bank account by myself without an SSN at bank of America, where I listed him as my POD beneficiary. We get mail in both of our names. And that's it. Our utility bills are under his name because of the SSN.
