    Congrats I’m sure your relieved. So your status went from interview scheduled to “in line? My husband still hasn’t gotten an update. He was told 30-60 days. It’s almost a month. I did a chat with a representative and they said everything is good just keep waiting and that it’s in final process after interview whatever that means.

    It all happened yesterday. Got an email saying my application was under quality review (something along those lines), then at the same minute, another email saying that I was in line for the oath ceremony.

    This morning I got a 3rd message stating that my 10 year GC was being produced.

    And finally just got a call from USCIS asking if I could attend the oath ceremony this Saturday (according to them, no need to mail a notice since I am available for that day and the notice would not make it to me in time).

    I am doing the oath in 2 days!

    Hoping that your partner gets similar news soon!

  2. Hey Ninna, I'm in the same situation as your husband.

    Had the N400 (I751 combo) interview in 8/5.

    Got verbal approval for both applications from officer, who also gave me a paper (Form N652) with checked boxes stating that I had passed the English and Civics test, and that my application was being recommended for approval.

    Since then, complete silence. No updates nor texts nor emails. USCIS website still shows "interview has been scheduled."

    Interview happened at the Kendall immigration center, in South Florida.

    Has anything changed with your partner's situation?

    Please share it here whenever that happens?

    Thanks!

    It will go through quality review and they will approve it.  Hopefully soon.  Did you get any message that a new card has been ordered, that is the first thing you will get email and text , since theoretically they have to approve your I-751 and then N-400.  It happened on the same day in my case July 3, 2019, interview on June 28, 2019

    Once they will say oath ceremony has schedule, you will see online notice in two days and in mail 4-5 days

    No messages (text or email), no updates in USCIS Case Status page since my interview 2 days ago.

    I'm already reading stories of people waiting for up to 5 months to get an update after the interview and hoping that won't be my case.

    Maybe I'm just too anxious. All I have is the paper with my A Number, checked boxes saying that I've passed the interview and that it would be recommended for approval, and the officer's name. Nothing else.

    Interview has been scheduled for 8/5/19. No mention to my I-751 petition. Does this mean it will be just an N400 interview?

    Recapping my timeline (Miami, FL):

    Sep 2017 - I-751
    Nov 2018 - N400
    07/01/19 - Notice of N400 Interview
    07/05/19 - Got letter with date for interview
    08/05/19 - N400 Interview

    So, guys, I had my N400 interview yesterday morning.

    My husband came with me, just in case, since I had also a I751 pending, and as soon as the officer called me, she asked if I had my spouse with me. Notice of interview did not mention a need for him to go at all.

    Officer escorted both of us to the interview cubicle. Spoke with us for no longer than 5 minutes (I was nervous, but had a whole folder with lots of evidence and photographs in case those would be needed.) Then showed my spouse the exit and finished the interview with me.

    I was nervous because I am married to another man and you never know what type of person will conduct this interview or what suspicions they might have of a same sex marriage. (My husband's previous 10 year marriage was with a woman)

    Officer (extremely pleasant lady) started with the civics test.

    Questions like:

    • "What's one of the implications of becoming a US Citizen?" (Answer: To give up loyalty to other countries);
    • "Who vetoes bills?" (The President);
    • "Who is the commander in chief of the military?" (The President);
    • "Name one state that boarders Canada?" (Maine);
    • "What are the two main political parties in the US?" (Democratic & Republican);
    • "When we do the plead of allegiance, to what are we showing allegiance for?" (To the US and to the American flag).

    She approved both applications on the spot and gave me a paper stating that I had passed the citizenship interview.

    My status in the USCIS page has not changed so far.

    Is it normal?

    How long does it take to change or to get the oath ceremony notice in the mail?

    It is about a month

    Great! Thank you for the info.

    I was here reading about it in some other forums and there were stories of people waiting up to 10 months for this date to be set... not encouraging at all.

    I’ll post here whenever my date is set so we can have an idea on scheduling times for the South Florida area.
