Don’t stress over this .
The document check is not required however it could be helpful. I couldn’t go to the doc check myself because it’s too much money and traveling and time SO I sent colored copies of my documents . And all I did was replace them once I got to Guyana.
You mentioned a lawyer... I wish you could’ve reached out before , lawyers are no good for K-1 visas specially for Cuba .
