  1. I'm in a pickle.

    1.  My Cuban fiancee has an interview scheduled in July. It is in Guyana. But the checklist says that we first have to schedule a document check at the Havana embassy before she can go to the interview in Guyana... my lawyer never shared this with me and I found out Friday.  The problem is that I was planning to bring my original documents i.e. birth certificate, etc to the interview in Guyana for her. But now it sounds like she has to have all those originals in Cuba for the document check, and I don't believe I have time to get to Cuba to get those to her before our interview date. This has added a lot of uncertainty and I want to know, has anyone experienced this? Does Havana need my originals, or will they accept the copies for now and allow us to bring the originals to Guyana?  Please tell me everything you know about this document check in Havana before going to the interview in Guyana.   Thank you so much for your help.

    2.  The checklist also says I need an i-864. I never filled one out and it looks like a daunting task. Do we really need this also for K1?
