Hi! what were the requirements and steps for EAD renewal?
Generally, you should not file for a renewal EAD more than 180 days before your original EAD expires.
And recommend file renewal more than 90 days before your original EAD expires.
following documents to mail:1. G-1145 to get case number by phone
2. I-765 download latest version and fill in again with new info
3. I-94 download again from CBP website
4. current EAD softcopy
5. I-797C the receipt for your pending I-485
6. Two passport size photos with a number written on the back
7. the notice slip for your current EAD ( the paper you tear off current EAD, this one I forget to mail but it said could speed up your case if mailed)

Hi everyone,
I am going to send my EAD renewal shortly. I was wondering if I have to pay the filing fees and biometrics or just filing fees (knowing I already done biometrics last year)?
Thanks
Won’t need pay any fee if I-485 is currently pending

Los Angeles November 2019 AOS filer here.
Mailed my EAD renewal application on 4 Sep and received the new card on 31 Oct. (with validity till end of Feb 2022 now, exactly one more year based on current EAD) this process is much more faster than expected. The EAD renewal case number is started with IOE even I did physically mail, but i guess it does not matter and the good thing for IOE is you can have approval letter online from MyUSCIS account.
however my interview have no progress, was scheduled on 13 Apr but been cancelled due to COVID, now the status is always “interview cancelled and notice ordered”... called USCIS but saying it is still within normal processing time.
anyway since the EAD renewal approved, not too worried about the GC now as can continue working.
USCIS Agent advised my waiting time is now 2 years

hey my field office is also San Fernando Valley office.
I filed in Nov 2019 and got an interview date on Apr 2020 (ready to be scheduled on late Jan and scheduled on early March), however have been cancelled on late March due to COVID, from 31 Mar till yesterday my case status is just showing “interview cancelled and notice ordered”
called USCIS also and they mentioned my case is in the queue for interview and it is still within normal processing time
Anyway my case status updated to “case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” again yesterday, hopefully can have an interview soon.
