  1. Good day everyone. Yesterday,I tried to create an account on cfo.ph. The 1st error says "Weve noted that you're not supposed to use the system, make sure that you've chosen the right icon". On my third try, the error changed to " you have reached the maximum number of clients for this day". I tried it once again today and it gave me the "you're not supposed to use the system" error again. Anybody knows how to work around this problem? Thank you!

  2. I’m traveling soon and have a question about some items I’d like to bring along to the US. In the time my fiancé and I have been together my partner has purchased (since they tend to be much cheaper here) several new/sealed video games for me to bring along to the US. Some titles are rare and I have multiple copies of them. Essentially I’d like to know if bringing a bag with 30+ games in it would be an issue for airport staff/TSA? Is there any chance they’ll reject our luggage or try to unseal the games as a security precaution? Thank you!

  3. Hello, everyone! I am here again asking for your help.

My petitioner and I have submitted our K1 application November 2018. Due to so many delays (my treatment, virus), we are still waiting for the embassy to open so we can schedule my remedical and interview. Sadly, I just realized that our case status has been updated last September 8 as expired. I have already emailed them for reinstatement, and anxiously waiting for their reply. Is this a big problem or is it something that can be easily corrected? Thank you so much to anyone who can help!

  4. Hi. So, I have been doing online freelancing since January but haven't registered myself yet as an online professional. I have undergone treatment and just waiting for the clinic to open. I'm sorry if this may sound an unnecessary or stupid question,😅but if I fail to register before leaving the country or taking the interview, will it pose as a problem to my visa application? Do they check this? Will they think of me as a future liability and deny my visa? Thank you so much to anyone who answers. 😊

SLEC wouldn't outright deny your medical, but they would have questions (they already have your records on file).. and they have rules to follow.  And part of that is requiring 1 year after your treatment before they will clear you.  <  like said, read up on the CDC website to get the facts.

This may be one rabbit hole you don't want to go down.

Thanks. This clears things for me.

Having treatment at home adds a minimum of 18 months to your journey.

Even if I cancel the ongoing petition? Would the clinic still track it and deny my medical application? I'm sorry, I'm so confused about this.

Why reapply?  They will keep the current petition valid for use to use upon completion of the treatment

I have estimated the expenses doing the treatment in the clinic everyday for 6 months versus expenses if we reapply. I believe doing the treatment there (rent, food, it's so far from home) would be more expensive.

    Yep,

When withdrawing send your withdrawal notification by email to the National Customer Service Center email NCSC-customerconnect@uscis.dhs.gov

Make sure you include petitioners name address date of birth, case number and reason for withdrawing.

I chose to wait 1 day after i sent the email to refile just so I had a record that I withdrew before I refiled. It took 1 month from the time I sent the withdrawal email to get the official withdrawal acknowledgement from the VSC.

Did your new petition application get approved?

  9. Hi, everyone! So, here's my case. I just got a call from St  Luke's medical center making me return to the clinic this October 1. My cultured sputum result is due on November 5, so I assume I've been called because they've found a TB bacteria growing on my specimen. Because of this, I am now considering canceling my application, do the 6 months treatment at home, and reapply for a new petition. That is after including all factors (expenses, etc).

My question is, can I reapply for a new petition while on a treatment and how will the cancellation affect our future application? Any response would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would say  .. Monday.   No harm in checking though  ;)

😭😭😭 I kept trying and they have frozen my account for suspicious activity and I will not be able to access it for up to 72 hours. Gosh. We're trying to book the soonest available date. 😭

Most likely.     Did you pay in the morning or afternoon?

    Afternoon, past 3.

Usually take 12-24 hrs after paying the visa fee at BPI before it is recorded and you can schedule your interview.   Weekends and holidays don't count.

Now that you are at the visa applicant phase in Manila you would do better to pop over to the Philippines forum for better answers.

This link may be helpful also as it has info for the complete process in Manila:  https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

To clarify, I paid Friday, does that mean I can't schedule it until Monday? Thanks!

  13. Hi. I have already paid for my k1 visa interview yesterday (Friday,3:53pm), and now trying to schedule an interview (Saturday,4:18pm). I get an error saying no valid record can be found for the entered receipt number. I have read that I should be able to pay a day after my receipt purchase date. This is making me anxious because I don't want the money we paid to go to waste. Should I calm down and just wait? Thanks!

  14. Hi. Our k1 visa petition is expiring in less than 2 months. Problem is, my fiancé and I don't think we will be able to save enough money for all the remaining expenses (medical, interview, travels, ceremony, AOS), so we're planning to apply for an extension of the validity of our k1 petition. Does this have any negative effect on our application? I'll appreciate replies regarding my query. Thank you!

You use ceac.state.gov enter "immigrant " and your case number for current status.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

Thank you soo much! Have a great day!

Annual income is his current rate annualized.   So monthly pay times 12, hourly pay  time 2080, etc.

Thanks. However, he has been at his current job for only a month. Which means, he doesn't have proofs or paystubs to support that annual income rate (I'm actually not sure if those are needed). Wouldn't that inaccurately reflect his financial status? Thanks.

The letter from NVC is what you need.  If you wait for a letter from the embassy you will wait a very long time.   All the instructions are on the embassy website.   Find them, follow them

Look up your status online at ceac.state.gov

Unfortunately, everytime my fiancé and I try to check our status online (we've tried it many times), it always says number or application ID is invalid, that is even before we received the letter from NVC. We can't get ahold of the embassy too through their hotlines.

  18. Hi. My fiance (petitioner) has already received our letter from NVC stating that our petition is on its way to Manila Consulate. However, it has been more than a month and we still have not received a letter saying that our case is ready (which I believe is what we need so we can schedule a medical exam and interview). Should we wait for it, or schedule the exam and interview already?

Also, my fiance lost his job just this year, and has been unemployed for months. He is now working for his dad for a month. We wonder what we should write on annual income section of the form i-134. I will appreciate any reply regarding this matter. Thanks!
