    its easy to say sit back and relax when u only wait 8 months...try waiting 3 years and see if u can say that.

    Donna A and Ca-girl. I forgive you for this kind of retort from you...but I will leave it to you to decide whether to do 1 arm pushups with the time you have or worry ur mind with things that are not in your control.

    we cleared my wife's name check on 11/16. went online to the uscis site and saw LUDs. one welcomed her as a new PR.

    our timeline: we applied on mach 29, 07. fbi name check was submitted april 5th, interview may 23, name check cleared on 11/16. overall under 8 month..just over 7 months.

    just sit back and relax..there's nothing one can do to speed this thing up. my sincere wishes and good luck to all those who are pending...

    Am I late to the party?

    my wife finally cleared her namecheck. We have been waiting since march '07. Just visited the uscis website bright and early today and they welcomed us with a welcome notice. Woohoo.

    better late than never. thought I should close the loop on the pending NC thing....pls have hope, whoever is stuck in it. we didn't do jack after we heard it was stuck...apart from a couple Infopass visits in june/september.

    Waiting to hear how our latest interviews for a March filers went ................. kkboy and cupcake...... What happened??

    Thx for checking in. We came bak, interview went well but pending FBI chek. It was going too fast for our own good (just 55 days, lol). We did FP only 14 days ago...so I was not very optimistic about clearing all the checks for my wife this fast.

    Nothing much was asked except extra proof (home insurance,bank statement). Looks like the officer had thoroughly read all the forms/docs b4 we even walked in, file was already open. She was very friendly and polite. just asked us the routine questions (how we met, when did we marry etc). At the end she said, you are one of the many people today that I have met that have a pending chek, cos our DO is scheduling interview way too fast these days. But since my wife has already cleared FBI chek once during her H1 visa, she said, it shud be the same thing this time too...we shall see :-)

    Oh well, will hang around...hopefully the name chek cloud clears soon. We are at the mercy of USCIS winds now...wherever /whenever it blows...we will get the GC.

    The recent posts that mention RFE's for W-2/tax info is becoming worrisome.

    We sent in my tax info - actual tax transcripts from IRS for the past 3 years. All three years are well over the guidelines. I did not send any other information (ie W-2's, 1099's and such), because it is my understanding that with a transcript, this was not necessary. The I-864ez mentioned that a tax transcript was sufficient, but it seems that they are sending out quite a few RFEs with regard to the Affidavit of Support.

    I also included an employment letter outlining my title, salary and their wish that I would continue to work for them. I also sent my most recent check stub and a print out from the payroll company outlining my checks for year 2007.

    Obviously we won't know until we receive either an interview letter, or an RFE, but do you think this will suffice?

    Me too. Now I feel worst because My wife is traveling to India! and will return in 20 days. I want to re-send everything right now but I don't know anything about US Taxes forms.

    This is what we sent and this is what I have to send with the RFE, please any recommendation will be nice:

    Form 1040 2006 (U.S. Individual Income Tax Return)

    Form 8863 2006 (Education Credits)

    Form 3903 2006 (Moving Expenses)

    But I don't have any "big or large" W2's of my wife, just smalls pieces of paper that say W2 (Wage and Tax Statement) but are very simple (is that?).

    PLEASE HELP! I'm alone with no communication with my wife!

    From the I864 form , page11:

    "Checklist"

    For ALL sponsors:A copy of your individual Federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statementand/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of each and every Form 1099,Schedule, and any other evidence of reported income. You may submit this information for the most recent three taxyears , pay stub(s) from the most recent six months, and/or a letter from your employer if you believe any of theseitems will help you qualify.

    For SOME sponsors:If you are currently self-employed, a copy of your Schedule C, D, E or F from your most recent Federal Tax Returnwhich establishes your income from your business.

    A small query ..if anybody could answer..

    Tax return is the form 1040..

    1099 is submitted when you are working as an independant contractor..

    so submission of form 1099 with I 864 is optional and if only applicable to your case ..right?

    1099 also means the "additional income" like "bank interest" and other money u earned besides the income on your W2 (1099 B, D, DIV) . That is what they want and it is mandatory with 1040/ W2 and tax returns. It's not required if you are sending "TAX TRANSCRIPTS" from the IRS.

    I have read and observed that some time after the interview notice is sent...but before the actual interview, every1 who has been APPROVED has had a "touch " on the AOS. Some1 on another website said that it hints at Name chek being complete. Are there any logical reasonings behind it ? Do you think it's really a "name chek complete" LUD ???

    Has any1 who has been stuck in name chek confirm that they didn't have a LUD on 485 before/around the Interview date ?

    We were approved, name check done at time of interview (and our time line is short) and the only touch we had before the interview was the day after biometrics.

    Do you know the date and time? Call the USCIS 1-800# and ask for a copy. If you do know the date and time and can't get a copy or find your copy, show up or the Interview. Don't miss it.

    thanks! It's tomorrow at 11:00 so there isn't time to get a copy. I just had it in my hand the other day and got side tracked, now its nowhere to be found. I guess we'll just go there and bring the NOA1 hope they accept that.

    Guys, Have you heard about any1 walking into the BIO/FP office on a date EARLIER than the one mentioned on the notice and was let in ? I have heard it for citizenship based cases...people walked in at least a week earlier and got FP done. Shaved off some time from the process. Let me know.

    My update:

    3/23/07: (130, 485, 864, 693 )sent to CHICAGO LOKBOX

    03/25/2007 : RD

    03/29/07: ND

    04/02/2007: Checks Encashed:

    04/02/2007: Received receipts in mail

    04/03/2007: Last Touched ( I hope it's BIO)

    FP ? ( the wait begins)

    Interview? (am ready)

    GC in hand - priceless..but when ?
