Every case first go to NBC for general processing. They check the forms, the supporting documents, probably more whatever they do, etc. If they are fine what they see you will get the ready for schedule message. Then when the local office has capacity they will bring you in for the interview and you can/should show more evidence between you filed and the interview date.

I understand! Thank you so much.

Wow. It was at the National Benefits Center for a long time. My status changed to ready to be scheduled for an interview sometime around the end of August 2018

Since we have diff visa categories it doesnt really makes sense to compare timelines I guess.

Maybe you can help me out with this, but can you explain me what will be the difference between the NBC and the field office in St. Louis? Do you know why would a case go to the NBC rather than the St. Louis office?

Good to see another filer from St. Louis.

I had my AOS interview in March 2019, field in July 2018. So it is ruffly 7 months for the AOS interview in St. Louis. Is your AOS staus is Ready to schedule an interview? Or something similar?

I just checked today and they changed my I-485 status to "Case is Ready to be scheduled for an Interview" on 6/11. How long did it take after they changed the status in the USCIS website until you did the interview?

  4. Hi, We started our AOS process in the St. Louis, MO field office on Dec 21st, 2018. My fingerprints were taken on Jan 15, 2019 and after that I haven't heard anything. The only thing it says in the website when I check is "Fingerprint Received" and the EAD says "Application received in xxx day" nothing else. Any suggestion? My lawyer says that based on the times they have seen in the last year it should take 3-4 more months until I hear something. But I am getting nervous after seeing so many December 2018 cases resolved in this forum. Any suggestions for me? Maybe my case will take longer since I was a J1 student with the 2 year home country rule. Any suggestions??

Am I the only one who’s case status is still on “fingerprints fee have received” since December 19th and nothing about EAD

No! I am on the same boat. Filed on Dec 21st, 2018. Fingerprints appointment was on Jan 15, 2019 and nothing yet after. In the USCIS website only say fingerprints were taken or your request was received! Where are you located? My field office is St. Louis, MO.
