My case is at the NVC. How long does it take for the "Administrative Review" and for them to actually forward it on to the Embassy?
Thanks

Like many others I got the I-130 and I-129F approved on the same day. Do I just forget about the I-129F and go for the I-130? Money is not my concern but getting my wife here the fastest way possible is.
Thanks

FINALLY Approved on 21 Aug. Like many the I-130 was approved on the same day as the I-192F. So what do I do? Forget about the I-129F and just go for the I-130? I don't care about the money only how fast I can get my wife here.
Thanks

OMG in the time I wrote the last reply I was touched again (no change in status). Chin up everyone waiting for VSC; first movement I have seen from them in a while.

I thought I heard trumpets this afternoon. Not loud mind you. So I took a look and I have a touch on the 129F; after two months. No change in status just a touch. I think they are playing with me now.
That's really exciting! Congratulations! Did you call them or was this an unsolicited touch?
an unsolicited touch. Normally I would feel violated but go ahead and do it again.

I for one am quite discouraged. All this talk about the Immigration Bill is not helping either. I wish someone in Washington would pay as much attention to people trying to get here legally as they are to the illegal group. What a bummer. Sorry just having a pity party before another weekend with no news.

Yes this is very frustrating. I want to go see my wife (at a huge expense) but I just need to hang on for a few days. Wonder if they are using interns at VSC to help with the workload? I hope someone comes back from a coffee or lunch break and decides to hammer out a dozen applications or so. Maybe we should suggest they get paid by the number of applications processed. Probably see the wait time go down to two days around Christmas and just before summer holidays.

Haven't seen any traffic on this for a bit so I though I would ask.
Thanks

going by other timelines for Vermont should start to see some action in the next 7 days (by next Thursday).
Funny enough though that if the Immigration Bill is approved my wife could be here (but only temporarily) based on the expansion of the Visa Waiver program. I am tired of saying goodbye though; I am ready for this to be over.

This was in the Washington Post paper today.
Explains the money angle

This is an invitation to anyone who filed a K3 in or close to April to post on this thread. It seems that many of us who have filed in April are having delays with checks being cleared and receiving a NOA1. I think it would be helpful to keep each other updated with concerns or activity on our visa applications.
I plan to call USCIS within the next two days because it will be 30 days since my packaged arrived without my check clearing or receiving a NOA1.
I am VERY Early April for the 129F

I don't know if there is a topic for March VSC filers. But it would be nice to know if anyone who has their application at VSC got an approval. I have called VSC today and spoke with a live person, only to find out that my case is still pending. His tone was very good, and he tried his best to give me explanations on why cases might take a long time to be processed. I didn't want to hear all that, but I was polite to listen because he was polite on the phone as well. Anyhow, if you got an approval please post it since we are all in the same boat. I think the last person who got an approval from VSC (4/30/2007) was "damian" if I am not wrong.
Waiting patiently

Try to hold off and go by the more accurate approval timelines. I am at the VSC; the month before last it was 28 days. This month it is 33. Based on the time of the year the times are increasing but not radically. If I get to 45 days I am going to be concerned.

Got three touches last week. Nothing this week though.

Frank,
Once your K3 is approved and your wife is in the US you need to file for an AOS. You have the option of either CR-1 or K3. If she has a K3 means that you chose K3 over CR-1. Now when she is in the US you need to file an AOS. Hope this helps.!!
Hope someone can answer this:Once the K3 is approved and my wife is in the U.S. with me what is the process for the I-130 for the CR-1? Where does the interview take place? Here in the U.S. I would assume and not at the Embassy in my Wife's native country?
Thanks
Frank
So how do I apply for AOS? Just wait 18 months then do so?
Thanks

I sent my marriage and divorce certificates, no pictures, no emails, no telephone bills, no letters. Both my I-130 and I-129 were approved on same date, without any RFEs.
Yes this is the way I am going. It is at the interview that you have to do the convincing. For the I-130 and I-129F you just have to show the legal documentation to prove you are eligible for the petition.

That is normal!
Congrats on Vermont! I hear they are quicker.
Great and thanks for the quick reply. Made my day

They already sent your file to Vermont!? I have not received any emails, or notices indicating my file being sent there. I am mad!
Give it a couple of days. My timeline almost matches yours. Money says you'll get an Email before the end of the week.

I filed my I-130 with Vermont mid Mar then filed a I-129F (in prep for K-3) with Chicago about 7 days later with the receipt from Vermont. Got a receipt from Chicago stating they got it.
Today I get a notice to tell me they sent the I-129F to Vermont. I thought it would be approved at the Missouri center? Has anyone else had this happen?
Thanks

K3 Approved; Can I continue I-130 via Embassy
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
The K3 is approved but I am almost finished with the I-130 also. At this point I would rather just continue the Embassy route for the I-130, go to the embassy with my wife for the interview and get the CR-1 their instead of doing an AOS. Anyone know of a reason I cannot do this? Anyone done this before?
Thanks
