  1. I thought I heard trumpets this afternoon. Not loud mind you. So I took a look and I have a touch on the 129F; after two months. No change in status just a touch. I think they are playing with me now.

That's really exciting! Congratulations! Did you call them or was this an unsolicited touch?

an unsolicited touch. Normally I would feel violated but go ahead and do it again.

  2. Yes this is very frustrating. I want to go see my wife (at a huge expense) but I just need to hang on for a few days. Wonder if they are using interns at VSC to help with the workload? I hope someone comes back from a coffee or lunch break and decides to hammer out a dozen applications or so. Maybe we should suggest they get paid by the number of applications processed. Probably see the wait time go down to two days around Christmas and just before summer holidays.

  3. going by other timelines for Vermont should start to see some action in the next 7 days (by next Thursday).

Funny enough though that if the Immigration Bill is approved my wife could be here (but only temporarily) based on the expansion of the Visa Waiver program. I am tired of saying goodbye though; I am ready for this to be over.

  4. This is an invitation to anyone who filed a K3 in or close to April to post on this thread. It seems that many of us who have filed in April are having delays with checks being cleared and receiving a NOA1. I think it would be helpful to keep each other updated with concerns or activity on our visa applications.

I plan to call USCIS within the next two days because it will be 30 days since my packaged arrived without my check clearing or receiving a NOA1.

I am VERY Early April for the 129F

  5. I don't know if there is a topic for March VSC filers. But it would be nice to know if anyone who has their application at VSC got an approval. I have called VSC today and spoke with a live person, only to find out that my case is still pending. His tone was very good, and he tried his best to give me explanations on why cases might take a long time to be processed. I didn't want to hear all that, but I was polite to listen because he was polite on the phone as well. Anyhow, if you got an approval please post it since we are all in the same boat. I think the last person who got an approval from VSC (4/30/2007) was "damian" if I am not wrong.

    Waiting patiently

  6. Frank,

Once your K3 is approved and your wife is in the US you need to file for an AOS. You have the option of either CR-1 or K3. If she has a K3 means that you chose K3 over CR-1. Now when she is in the US you need to file an AOS. Hope this helps.!!

    Hope someone can answer this:

Once the K3 is approved and my wife is in the U.S. with me what is the process for the I-130 for the CR-1? Where does the interview take place? Here in the U.S. I would assume and not at the Embassy in my Wife's native country?

    Thanks

    Frank

So how do I apply for AOS? Just wait 18 months then do so?

    Thanks

    Frank

  7. I sent my marriage and divorce certificates, no pictures, no emails, no telephone bills, no letters. Both my I-130 and I-129 were approved on same date, without any RFEs.

Yes this is the way I am going. It is at the interview that you have to do the convincing. For the I-130 and I-129F you just have to show the legal documentation to prove you are eligible for the petition.

  8. I filed my I-130 with Vermont mid Mar then filed a I-129F (in prep for K-3) with Chicago about 7 days later with the receipt from Vermont. Got a receipt from Chicago stating they got it.

Today I get a notice to tell me they sent the I-129F to Vermont. I thought it would be approved at the Missouri center? Has anyone else had this happen?

    Thanks

    Frank :unsure::blink:
