We have 14 emails between us and the embassy for the past month showing them screenshots that we have uploaded the documents but they are saying they can’t view them and insisting that we submit. They are not accepting them by email either.

NVC has stopped taking calls, so we are wondering how did any of you get out of this bottleneck?

Try re submitting them. Delete the previous upload from ceac If u can and then re upload the document. Then email them again saying u have re uploaded it and ask them to check. Hopefully this does the trick. Best of luck and dont lose hope! :) also make sure u uploaded them under the correct person (i.e applicant or petitioner etc). Inform them in the email exactly where u uploaded the document. I know u sent screenshots but trust me sometimes the embassy really doesnt have a clue and needs to be specifically guided as to what was uploaded and where exactly it was uploaded to. It could be a problem on the embassy side. Dont worry. Ask them if u can delete and re submit the doc and then see if they are able to see it. Also, if the submit button still isnt working make sure that the document says "uploaded" once u have uploaded it. If the submit button works hit it after uploading it, if it doesnt then be assured that the embassy is still able to access ur doc despite not hitting the submit button. Make sure u hit upload though after u attach the doc so it ensures it is officially uploaded. Best of luck!

Were any of you eventually able to resolve this issue? And how? Been going through the exact same thing for a month now with the “submit” button not working and the embassy not accepting uploaded only documents. Please help if you can!

Email the embassy notifying them that u have uploaded the documents. Then they will view them.

As said, IV visa once endorsed at POE ipon first time entry to the US is equivalent to a green card for one year from the endorsed date and can be used to reenter US later on within that year.

Ok thank u very much! :)

With a stamp, the CR1/IR1 functions as a (temporary) GC. It also says that on the visa itself.

A K1 visa is a single entry visa.

Thx for the clarification...so basically he can exit the country on the same visa stamp that he arrived on despite not getting the GC in the 1 month that he is here...correct?

Again, the stamped visa in your passport functions as a GC so that should allow you back into the US.

Wait, so an IV visa holder CAN travel back to their home country without GC???? Wouldnt that IV only count for a single entry to the US and after that an immigrant must have GC in order to exit and enter the US??? My husband is coming this week on his IV and is staying for 1 month hoping that the GC will arrive by then. He has to go back to work in dubai after a month but can he exit ans re enter a few months later without his GC? I think the IV is valid for a single entry even though it says it serves valid for 1 year??? Please someone clarify.

i went for my interview today ar Abu Dhabi and the consular office gave me a blue letter asking me to return back to the embassy  with my passport and original copy of my divorce decree. has anyone had such experience before? please guide me.

Yes. My husband (IR 1 Categ) received the infamous blue slip for a required document, but he was told to upload the document onto ceac under the household member who's document was reqd. In our case, the CO wanted tax transcripts for my brother. My brother was my HS for my husband's case). Once he uploaded the document and it was accepted, he recd an email to drop his psport/mail it in to the AD Embassy. If u have been asked to return back to the embassy in person to submit ur divorce decree then u should do it that way. I assume they want to see the original. Did u take the original to the interview?

It took about 5 days for the embassy to see the uploaded transcripts, and another 7 days for them to send back psprt with the visa stamped.

So I tried that and I was able to get the joint sponsors tax transcript online but for whatever reason when I tried to get mine it kept saying that the information you entered does not match what is in the system and after 3 trys it would lock me out. I emailed my tax guy to see if he entered something wrong on my return, and I even called IRS however they said they don’t know how the online system works and that all they can do is request a copy to be mailed to me. So that’s what I had to do. It took about 5 days to get in the mail. I should have done it sooner but I remember the last time I requested them it took forever. But I finally got them yesterday. When I emailed the embassy the joint sponsors transcript, they replied pretty fast so I am hoping they reply by Sunday, as Friday and Saturday is considered the weekend in UAE.

We had the same problem the CF asked for the transcripts for our sponsor so the sponsor got them online in minutes after I myself tried to obtain them numerous times. It locked us out for 24 hrs so we tried daily and finally succeeded on the 3rd day. We scanned the tax transcripts and emailed them to the beneficiary who then uploaded them onto CEAC. Make sure u also email the abu dhabi embassy at the email add they give u after the interview to Inform them that u have uploaded the remaining reqd document. They viewed the copy in about 2 days, and sent us an email to submit the psprt. We got psprt in hand within 3 working days. Hope all goes well for u :)

great! Happy for you. Was your assumption correct that the embassy has to open the submit button again on the CEAC website. I sent an inquiry form  directly to the embassy as they don't do emails (islamabad). Website says they respond in 5 days... its been 5 days... hopefully tomorrow is the day 😅

Yes apparently the embassy was able to view the document without us having to hit the submit button. We just uploaded it and they viewed it. Be patient in Sha Allah u will get a positive response soon :)

hi, I also uploaded and send an inquiry to the embassy but have not heard back. The submit botton is still not working. Have you heard back from them?

Yes thankfully heard back form them today with positive feedback. It took the Abu Dhabi embassy less than a week to respond. Make sure u send the embassy an email as well so that they can look into ur case earlier.

I am experiencing the same problem. I've uploaded all civil  document requested (the document status shows "Uploaded"). I've been trying to "submit" the document for many days. But the "Submit Documents" button is not working.

I was thinking to use  different browsers, deleting the uploaded document and re-uploading, ...  But as you said it is also not working, so now I am stuck.

When logging in to CEAC, there's a message that the site will be down on May 30 for maintenance, so possibly they'll fix this issue. May be.

    .

Same here but on the paper given by the CO at my husband's interview in abu dhabi the instructions say to just UPLOAD the missing document AND EMAIL THE EMBASSY in abu dhabi that We have uploaded the document. So we did just that, Uploaded the document AND SENT THE EMBASSY AN EMAIL WITH the Case number in the subject line and wrote that we have uploaded the required document onto ceac but submit button is disabled. I believe that ceac will activate submit button once they receive ur email that u have uploaded the reqd documentation they asked of u at the interview. It is also possible that the embassy can access ur uploaded document only once they receive ur email that u have uploaded it. Once the embassy informs nvc that a new required document has been uploaded by the immigrant or petitioner, nvc will enable the submit button and the embassy will be able to view the document themselves. (I'm just stating this on what I believe the procedure is). It's also possible that the embassy is still able to access an uploaded document thru help from the nvc without having us actually hit the submit button.

Hi again. I have this question regarding the i864. My situation is i have never work since 2001 because ive been living here in the Philippines and my parents and brother was supporting me through out the entire time. The only time ive been in the u.s is 2016 to 2017 for vacation. I want to know what kind of explanation would i need to write why o have nevered files tax or even work? My brother will be the joint sponsor and he also needs to write a letter for my domicile stating that me and my wife can live with him. How does that go?

HI I was in the same situation as I am a full time mom and don't work/earn any income. I petitioned for my husband and wrote a NON-TAX FILING Letter simply stating that I wasn't earning in the past 3 yrs and am a stay at home mom therefore I want required to file taxes for the past 3 years. I dated it, signed it and uploaded it on ceac. It was accepted the next day. My hubby also took the sig Ed hard copy with him to the interview but they barely even asked for it. P. S. For the letter I simply Googled templates for non tax filing letters and used those as a basis for my own letter. It was a life and time saver! ;)

In regards to ur brother again Google templates or just have him write and sign a letter stating that he is OK with u living with him and his wife when u initially move to the US. Have them both sign it and date it. That's it! Hope that helps :)

  11. Hello there! The same happened to us for my husband's case. We added my dad as a household member and my brother as the JS, however we couldn't upload any docs and upon calling nvc they said we must add them both as household members as they r residing at the same address here in the US. Once I uploaded both as HMs all the documents were accepted. We initially had my brother fill the I 864 as a JS but then had him fill out the I 864A as the HS upon being told by nvc
