    Hi all,

Filed N400 online on January 8th (LPR for 3 years - 90 days), while ROC was still pending. Received notice that ROC got moved to my local office (assuming Washington DC / Fairfax) on January 18th. Biometrics done January 29th. Got the interview notice on May 9th, scheduled for June 15th (this upcoming Saturday)! I'm slightly freaked out because it's a Saturday date.... which doesn't seem to happen often? I'd appreciate any info you guys might have on Saturday naturalization interviews. Anyway, I have been studying for the civics exam, and will have my husband with me since I'm expecting a combo interview (since ROC got moved to the local office right after I applied for naturalization).

Meanwhile the estimated case completion date has been a mess in my online account. It was initially Jan 2020; after biometrics Dec 2019; around the time I got the interview notice it became July 2020! Between the Saturday interview and this, I am just really hoping I don't fall through the cracks.. Thanks to you all, at least I know it is not too surprising to have already received the interview date.

Good luck to everyone! I'll update after June 15th with any news!

Picking up where I left off, I did have my naturalization interview today at the Washington DC office and my application got recommended for approval! A few notes on my experience:

-Washington DC office does have Saturday naturalization interviews! Also, my officer was super nice.

-ROC does play into the total completion time (if you applied while that was pending - like I did). I just got notified that my ROC is approved and my green card is being prepared, so hoping my oath ceremony will be scheduled soon.

-While the officer said it may take up to 2-3 months for the oath ceremony to be scheduled because of the ROC, I think applying for N400 before receiving the 10-year card saved a lot of time already.

Please feel free to ask me about any part of my actual interview! The civics test was pretty easy. Most of the interview was thorough verification of my answers on the N400 form really..

I hope everyone's naturalization process goes smoothly and positively!
