  1. i just finished my interview

    everything is fine

he only asked me very simply questions such as birthday and address

    and some yes no questions

and he said everything looks ok with you guys

and then he explained about the permanent greend card is only good for two years

and then he asked us to go home and wait the notice in the mail

he didnt say he approved us or not

    and thats it

the interview only took us 10 minutes..

    very short...

but i am not sure if it is good or not

  2. It took 2 weeks for out bank to catch up with the SSA lists. I left all the information with our customer service lady and called once a week till they did.

No use calling SSA. All they will say is it is correct on their end and it's the bank's problem. Believe me.....been there, done that.

    exactly..i called ssn office today..

they said it's issued and valid..they have all the infomation inside the computer..

so they dont know why the bank cant recognize it..

my bank still let me open an account...

i just got a little worried when they said my number is not valid!

  3. the legend on the EAD means that the EAD itself is not enough documentation to reenter the US.

But your K3 visa in your passport is

    Saludos,

    Caro

so my EAD will still be valid if i reenter to US?...

or i need to apply again?

your EAD is valid for one year from the date it was issued....the message " not valid for reentry to us" measn you can't use your ead card alone to enter u.s, you have to have a visa ( like your k-3, good for two years from the date it was issued)...so don't worry about it......you can enter using your k-3...

and yes...your ead is still valid until it expires on the date on the card.

and no..you don't need to apply again...unless it expires before you get your green card, then you need to renew it.

hope this clears up your confusion.

    thanks so much!!!!

wendyhigh, don't worry you are next. I know each day seems like a year but it's coming.

for those waiting for the AOS notification, they said we will get a notification within 60 days of RFE reciept.

    thanks frustrated1..

    it makes me feel better...

i am actually quite happy to know that you get EAD since we are all K3 to AOS and we all got RFE too...

it really makes me feel less worried

  6. i still can't check my status online

hope mine will be approved soon too

    1/7 package sent

    1/9 received

    1/11 check cashed

    1/15 NOAs

1/19 biometric appointment letter (date:1/30 Wednesday 2:00 in the afternoon)

    2/7 REF

    2/9 REF replied

    2/11 REF received at Lee's

Me too Wendy, still have nothing, and we have the same dates, except for my RFE was sent earlier. I can view my cases but nothing as far as updates. Last Update was Feb 7, to let me know case processing resumed. No EAD, AP, or anything other word of transfer. All I can do is wait. The 800 number told me, that if I pass 45 days without hearing anything since my RFE was received that I should Infopass it. Not sure if that would help. But still in regular processing times so not much you can do. Rest assured, I am waiting with you

we can only wait for the mail

maybe its approved already and we are just not able to check online

so just wait for the mail

  7. Frustrated, hgill:

Have you called to USCIS for ask if they already received your RFE answer??? I called on February 18 and they only said me that they didn't know if they already received my RFE answer, but that I need to wait. And after 3 days I could ckeck my I-485 status I think that after I called they put my case online.

Can you check your case status online?? if it is not, maybe you cannot see what is happening with your petition and maybe it's already in CSC.

    Good luck

what is the number to call?

  8. I thought that you were one of the last ones to sent out the package in january, but I guess not. I dont know thats is pretty strange why they would ask you for your recent tax transcripts. Maybe they will ask all of us january filers eventually :( hopefully not. I guess if you havent done your taxes for 2007 you should hurry up and do them and send it to them fast so your case can resume asap. Another question to you, have you done your taxes already, maybe they checked with irs and saw something???

it says that "we must submit all Federal income tax documentation submitted to IRS for the most recent tax year."

we have all the document of 2007 ready.

I think we will just make photocopy of them and send them out.

i guess they really want the 2007 one since it mentions "the most recent tax year" which is 2007 right?!

    Wendy,

I went through the same thing with USCIS with the same RFE. They told me after speaking to an IO that 2006 taxes are ok as long as they are submitted before March 1 2008. They want proof of employment i.e. paystubs etc. I included them already with my original submission, they must of misplaced them. So I would recommend, 2006, if you have 2007 doesn't hurt, and proof of employment, such as a recent paystub or letter from employer.

    Hope that helps,

    to Hgill

    Thanks so much.

I will send out the 2007's tax document and my husband's January paystub together.

  9. hello everyone

    I got REF today.

It said my husband need to submit the current tax returns.

    We submitted 2006 tax return.

But i guess they want 2007 one....

but i am really not sure what they really want since we have all tax document of 2006 sent

i thought 2006 one will be ok

but in the REF, it says "In order to process your application further, submit evidence of the sponsor's current income.

so 2006 one is not current enough for them???????????????

Hey wendyleigh I got an RFE as well but because I didn't submit an I-864 for my husband, I only submitted one for my sponsor. So I called the 1800 today and they told me just to send one from my petitioner but nothing about recent tax returns, which worries me a little I wouldnt like them to send me another RFE, I am sending my response to the request first thing tomorrow. When did you sent out your aos?
