It’s the estimate between NOA1 and NOA2 but it’s not the time to process the whole case .

Hmm, Someone told me it was the process of the whole case to finish... How long should i add onto the 8-12 till i can move back to the USA? is the estimates even accurate could it happen before those months?

I just realized reading the CSPA again that you won’t age out because the i824 was filed before you turned 21, so that’s good.

I don’t think anyone can give an exact answer on how long, the lawyer who filed it (assuming he has experience in this) probably has a better idea of how long they take to process, and the consulate you interview at will also affect the timing. All in all, probably months rather than weeks though.

I've went on the USCIS processing times it shows 8 to 12 months.. I'm guessing thats the estimate time the case should be done by?

Ok, so just to correct your earlier statement, you didn’t apply for citizenship in 2000, you applied for green cards.

The process includes both the processing time at the service center the i824 is sent to for the i824, and the time it takes the embassy to schedule an interview.  When do you turn 21?

8 months from now, The case is on "we received your Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, Receipt Number xxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case." as of now its been like that for 2 months now

  5. We applied for a I-485 around 2000-2001 because my uncle is a citizen of the USA the form was approved, we moved out of the USA my father recently went back and continued on the form and got his permanent residence now he applied a I-824 for me and my mother. My father got his GC and now we are waiting on ours how long would this process take. I-824 was made by my fathers lawyer

I824 is if you already have a approved petition that is lost, stolen, or mutilated. So did you father petition for you previously, is that petition approved, and is he a USC or GC?

Yes it is the timeline for it to be finished

We applied for citizenship back in 2000 when i was a kid, we had to move back to our country due to family problems and our visas were expired, My father moved back to the USA 1.5 years ago and just got his greencard category F46. He recently has applied for me now with case I-824 the case is now in processing and has not been approved yet Its been a month we are still waiting
