I scan a letter of intent of marriage upon my fiance arriving in the US. That was accepted. However, what wasn't accepted was the copy of my divorce decree. Which the CO wanted an authentic court document. This delayed our approval. Go to the interview and pay close attention to what the CO tells you to do. If the CO asks you for a certain document, be honest and tell them you have a copy or do not have it. You will probably be placed in Administrative Processing, (221g), until you can provide them with the requested information. Then again, they might not ask you for anything at all. You won't know unless you go! Good luck!

Thank you all so much...I feel alot better. I believe God will work it out.

BOTH those have to be a wet signature. Unfortunately. Just take the emailed copy and you will get a 221. Then send in the originals......

Why did you wait until the last minute?

He send the documents two weeks ago

I will just go to the interview , bring the print the copies of the affidavit of support he gave you... I will just give it to them and if they say something about the signature explain why :) ... just make sure you bring the transcript ( they can be copies) you will be fine :)

    What transcript?

Every embassy is different.  Some require a wet signature on the affidavit of support and some do not.  Most likely everything else is fine as copies (accept your original ID's, passport, etc. which they will want to see).

You said he e-mailed you everything.  I would suggest going to a print shop and printing everything out today for the interview.  Worst case, they request you send them the original signed affidavit and hold the visa until they receive it.

    Good luck.

Thank you so much. He didn't get to me before sending the documents so he send it to my address instead of using DHL or FedEx and they told him I would get it within 6-10 days.

Seeing how its friday and your interview is monday they chance of reaching someone to cancel is highly unlikely. You really should have been more prepared. Why did you wait till the last minute to receive the documents? You should attend your interview as scheduled and explain the situation if you don't receive the documents as scheduled.

Also another poster asked which documents. You should provide more detail so more clarity can be given to your situation

The affidavit of support and intend to married

It doesn't matter if you check either box .. serious.     You could check INTEND if it makes you feel better.  ;)

I-134 is not designed with the K-1 visa in mind, it is used mostly for other types of non-immigrant visas, so it has questions that just don't apply

    Thank you

  6. Today I complete the DS160 form and when on to create the profile to schedule interview and pay fee. Because the DS160 is a non immigrant form I select that and was creating the profile...then it says select Visa case and nothing was there for K1 so I call the embassy and the say I should select immigrant so I start over again and it ask for case number so I enter the WAC and 10 digit number it says case number not ready. My fiance did get a letter that says I should fill out the DS160 and create profile, schedule interview and pay fee. Am so confused. Can something be this stressing?

  7.

How do I answer these  questions on the Visa application form?

    1. Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?

    2. Full names in native alphabet ? Do I write my first, middle and last name.

    3. For educational background...I put the high school I attend but they asking course of study. Not sure what I should put there. I also remember the month and year I started high school and finish but not the day.

    4. I have facebook and Instagram also use YouTube and Google. I add my fb and insta info but not sure about YouTube and Google because I just use my gmail for those.

1.)Go request police record and certificate of no impediment(shows you aren’t married and you obtain this at the registrar general). You will  need both for the interview and they can take a few weeks to come in unless you pay extra to expedite them

2.) You don’t need any document from the embassy to request your police record. The medical appointment is given only after you’ve scheduled the interview. Fill out the DS-160 at the ceac site than go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ and create an account to pay fees and schedule the interview. Once interview is scheduled go to http://andrewsmemorialhospital.com/ to schedule medical. Go to Menu-Our Services-US Medical. They will ask for interview date in order to complete the registration and they will email you back with the medical date.

3.) At the end of the DS-160 application it will give you the option to email the confirmation

Page to an email address. Email it to yourself and you can print it from the Internet cafe.

    4.)Answered under 2

    5.) Answered under 1

Take the following items to the interview:

1.)original birth certificate (must come from the RGD on security paper if born in Jamaica)

copy of birth certificate(may need to be resized to include the full page)

    2.) Police certificate

    3.) certificate of no impediment

3.) court records if you have been convicted of a crime if applicable

    4.) Military records of applicable

4.) I-134 affidavit of support along with supporting documents (petitioners tax transcripts, W-2s and paycheck stubs

6 (2x2) passport photos (4 for medical 2 for interview

    7.) Interview confirmation page

    good luck!

Thank you. Not sure how to answer this question on the Visa application form. Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?

  9. My Fiance recently received an email that our application was send to Kingston, Jamaica but when he tried to open the file with instructions it was corrupted. Today he call NVC and they advise him that I just need to go fill out the application online. But I honestly don't have a clue where to start. (1) should I get my police record and do the medical exam before applying online for the interview? (2) What document do I need from the embassy when applying for the police record and getting the medical exam done? (3) My fiance say I can use my phone to do the application online but I don't have a printer to download and print the confirmation letter. Can I get a travel agent to assist me? (4) Where do I pay the Visa application fee? (5) Do I need to get any document to confirm am not married? Someone please tell me what to do because am so confused.

  10. Good Morning y'all...so my fiance and I petition for K1 visa has been approved and we are now ready for the next step from NVC. The thing is my fiance doesn't keep money in his bank account but he has his regular job and make 36,000 a year plus he has his side business and make almost the same from that. My question is since he doesn't keep money in his back account...for the affidavit of support will this in anyway affect us when we go to the embassy for interview. My fiance has decide to take time off work to come to the interview with me.
