  1. Hi,

We are almost ready to enter the US and will do so by the end of Feb., 2020. We are currently living abroad. My wife was approved for the IR-1 visa. We made a USCIS account online and paid our 220 dollar immigration fee.

The USCIS site lists my wife's mailing address but not a phyical address. My understanding is that this address is for the mailing of her green card. We don't want to enter the address we now live and would prefer to enter the US physical address. Is it alright to leave the physical address blank at this time. It does list our US mailing address. BTW, we are still living where we were when we had the interview at the US embassy. So they should have valid and up-to-date information. What would you advise us to do? Can we wait to enter the physical address until we enter the US and take up residency? Thanks in advance for your help with this.

  2. My wife and I are in a similar situation as we need to show income but I've lived abroad for 10 years. So basically, none of the foreign based income will count. I believe your options are the cash value of his assets or finding a co-sponsor.

You can read about the requirements here:

Read the section in the link above "If You Can’t Meet the Minimum Income Requirements" . It is written from the perspective of your fiance.
