Has it ever happened to anyone that they got a "case was approved" notice AFTER getting a "new card is being produced" notice? (I.e., Friday I was told my new card was being produced, and today I was told case was approved - which seems backwards.)

That's my case. It may sound weird but things are fine. After that there was another notice showing "New card being mailed to you" and tracking number with usps for you to track the card. I got my card in the mail within 2 weeks

We both had our biometrics almost at the same time. I had mine on November 15th. I was also worried but it was just Thurday last week that I got notification that my case was transferred to different office. I was actually expecting it since I didn’t have interview for ROC. Hang in there. Hopefully  You will get an update sometime this week.

Oh wow thank you. I did not have interview for ROC so I expect I will have one. I keep my finger crossed. Thanks a lot!

  3. I'm a LIN and it's been more than a year now since I submitted my paperworks.  Nebraska service center. Until now it still shows fingerprints were taken on November 18th 2019. Nothing new. My friend submitted in December 2019, got her fingerprints taken in February 2020 and already had her card.

I called USCIS last week and the lady told me they were still working on cases from Feb 25th 2018.

Hopefully there will at least be a soft update for my case soon.

My case has been stuck at "case has been updated to show that fingerprints were taken" since November 2019....there's been no updates.  I'm honestly starting to wonder what's going on - I think my 18 month extension is up at the end of the year and I am not feeling like they will get to my case before then!!  Fingers crossed though.

I wasn't feeling any particular urgency to go ahead and file n-400 but I'm thinking that maybe I should so that SOMETHING can get moving?  Any thoughts on this?  Thanks guys!

I'm in the same situation. "fingerprints were taken" since November last year till now, nothing new. Nebraska service center. I think maybe it is a good idea to apply for N 400, I may do that soon.

Just passing by to give you hope. My case was approved yesterday!!!!!!! No request of evidence, no interview. My timeline:

    05/31/19: form received.

    10/16/19: Fingerprints taken.

    01/14/19: New card ordered. 🤩

I originally sent the documents to Dallas, Tx and then I was transfer to Potomas (which was a relief because this office just open to process I-175).

    Good luck everybody!!!!

That is awesome! Congrats! My fingerprint was done in November, hopefully I will hear something soon :)

    Hi there,

Make sure you update your address with USPS so you have your mail forwarded to the new house.

Also, you can update the USCIS through their website: https://my.uscis.gov/account/

I just moved last month and did all that as soon as I knew the date of the moving (You can choose the starting date you want your mail to be forward to the new address).

    Hope that helps!

    Oh, I'm also LIN. :) :)

Oh thank you very much! that is very helpful! Thank you ^_^

Hi All, We received the Biometric appointment letter today.

    Timeline

    NOA1 Received- 05/22 ( MSC)

    Biometric letter received - 08/16

    Bio Appoinment- 08/27

Congratulations! Glad that things are moving forwards for you :)

I sent an inquiry to USCIS  about the biometric notice ( I have not received anything) and they replied they have requested to resend the notice to me. I am not sure if they already sent it and it got lost or something (because they say "resend"), but anyway I will keep waiting and hope things will be fine for me too :)

I can’t believe there are bunch of May filers still waiting to do the biometrics. I was looking at the June and July filers and some of them are already done with their biometrics.

I was wondering if anyone didn’t have to do the biometrics?? (If the USCIS just use the previous biometrics when you get the green card)

I filed in May, cased denied, then refiled in June, got NOA beginning of June ,  still nothing about biometrics.

But I can tell I may have a long way to go since many May filers are still waiting for their biometrics notices.

I just wonder if the biometrics is waived, will USCIS notice us ? Because it does not show anything on mycaseUSCIS

Hey...yes there was a small update but I was a little hesitant to share - USCIS responded to my case inquiry explaining that there seems to be a backlog at the application support center I was assigned to.  They said they have requested that a biometrics appointment be scheduled for me and once a date and time becomes available they will confirm it and send me a letter.  For many of us waiting I suspect that a biometrics appointment has not been scheduled yet simply because of the backlog at the centers right now.

I think its worth sending a case enquiry because they seem to be willing to dig a little deeper if you ask, versus the people who prefer to wait and never send an enquiry.  That's just the vibe I got both from the agent I spoke to on the phone and the case enquiry response.

Texas just may have the biggest backlog of all the service centers at this time.....but we will keep waiting and hoping.  Good luck to you!

May I ask how did you send the inquiry to USCIS? Is that through my.uscis.gov?

Thank you, and for the record the person i spoke to said that submitting an enquiry was exactly what I should have done because I, like many of us still waiting, should have gotten our biometrics letter within 30 days of filing.  She was about to submit one on my behalf when she noticed I submitted one a few days prior.  My update was to encourage whomever was still waiting and was anxious to submit an enquiry if they are nearing or over the two month mark as I am.  Im not sure who may be willing to sit and wait for their immigration paperwork to just “come around” but I certainly am not one of them, mine and my husband and my infant daughter’s future depend on it.  Thank you very much.

I understand how you feel. I am nervously waiting for my biometrics notice as well and it has been more than a month since my NOA, I keep checking the mail a few times everyday. Thank you for your updates so people who are in the same situation (like me) know what next steps to take. I think I will call them if by the end of this month there is still no notice.

Same here! I am LIN filer as well. Received my NOA dated May 30th. Still no news on BIometrics. I just saw that LIN processing time went down from 15-25 months to 14.5-24.5 months. Hopefully this trend continues.

    Lets keep one another posted.

Yeah. I check my mailbox everyday, waiting for the biometrics notice :) Hopefully the process will be a little faster for us.

Hey guys! I received my NOA1 on May 3rd. Service center:Nebraska (LIN receipt). I still haven't received my Biometrics appointment. I know this is probably normal,  but I was wondering if there was anybody with a similar timeline. Thanks! :)

Mine is also a LIN and Nebraska service center but I received my NOA on June 17th.

Hopefully you will receive your biometrics appointment soon. I am not sure if they will send us notice if the biometrics is waived to let us know or not. I don't think it shows anything on MycaseUSCIS about the biometrics notice.
