    Tourist Visa followed by Student visa F1

    Hi All,

    My uncle and his family planning a tourist visa this month where his B1/B2 was rejected once back in 2013.

     

    Details; My Uncle's visa was rejected once back in 2013.

    Present: they are applying again for 3 persons - My uncle, My Aunt and their son (my cousin)

     

    interest: My cousin would be applying student visa later this year or early next year. 

     

    We questions is : what if their tourist visa B1/B2 rejected , will it impact anything on my cousin's student visa ?

     

    Would it make more sense to apply tourist visa just for my uncle and aunty this time so my cousin's passport will not get the rejection mark (if get rejected) as he will go with F1 visa soon.

     

    Appreciate any help/advice
