Why do you think anyone here can tell you more than what the caller from uscis did? Clearly you will have a combo interview from what you yourself said
Thanks for your kind comment

Good morning people and hope we all had a good night rest. please, I need an advice as I'm kind of confused , my N400 interview is schedule for 22nd march while i751 is schedule for 24th march also . has anyone been in this kind of situation before to please share his /her experience as I don't know if the n400 interview day could be combo . Lest I forget I received a call from uscis that both my files are at the field office and the caller also informed me to go with my spouse as I will be interviewed for both on same day.
please share your experience if you have seen something like this or close to this ....Thanks to everyone while I wait patiently for your advice and response.

It seems Charleston is processing N400s relatively quickly. I have heard of a few folks getting done in six months or so.
Goos Luck!
Thanks I really appreciate your info. Though I have 6months estimated processing on my online app after I filed ...

Hi,
Many I-751 filers are well over a year waiting and has a status showing waiting to schedule the interview. As stated in the previous comment, there's no guarantee that filing the N-400 will sped up the I-751.
Our I-751 case is similar to yours except we're only a year in (filed August 2019): our case was originally sent to SRC (Texas), then transferred within a month to NBC, where it has been for months, but after we had our fingerprints appointment in March 2020, our status changed to waiting to schedule interview.
And that has been the status of the I-751 until we decided to file the N-400 as soon as we were eligible last month, July. Weeks after filing the N-400, the status of the I-751 changed to case moved to new office, which now has jurisdiction. Many have commented that this is an indication that both cases are being combined for a combo interview, but we have received no notice from USCIS confirming this.
What ultimately happens with the pending I-751 is likely subject to many different variables such as which is your local office, how the pandemic has impacted processing, and now, if the furloughs set for the end of August come to fruition.
For us, we have our eye on citizenship, so we don't regret getting in queue for the N-400 no matter how the I-751 shakes out. If combined as a combo, that will put the I-751 on our N-400 schedule, which is just fine. Avoiding the fee increase was also very important to us, and by the way, the fee increase doesn't go into effect until October. If you file before then, you'll pay the current processing fee.
Thanks so much for your contribution to my question. You are 100% right as n400 sometimes doesn’t even give pending i751 a push we all hoped for but maybe might cause some shake up which is what I feel might happen if I file my N400 since I became eligible 4 months ago .
I think I’ll just follow your way by filling my N400 before the fee increment becomes effective and see how it pans out .
Once again I appreciate your response and you valuable info .Just now, Scandi said:The fees increase on October 2nd, 2020.
Ok . Thanks for the info

Filing the N-400 doesn't guarantee that your i-751 will be sped up, no.
It's very possible that you'd have a combo interview, yes, since your I-751 is already at NBC (likely waiting to be scheduled for an interview).
The fee for the N-400 goes up by ~83% on October 2nd. So if you want to save ~$500, file before then if you're eligible.
Thanks for your timely response . I already received a letter from uscis that I’m already in line to be scheduled for an interview and that they will send me a letter for date ,time and venue .
i only thought about apply for n400 as I’m eligible since March 2020 and think may be it might help my i751 to be adjudicated on time whenever n400 is schedule for interview.
moreover n400 application fees has already increased per uscis website -
Good day gentlemen and ladies , my i751 is pending for over 16 months and case status says ready to be schedule for interview since June 2020 , please is it advisable to apply for N400 with my pending i751 .
lest I forget , initial service center is Texas before they transferred my i751 to nbc .
If I applied for n400 , will that speed up i-751 to be adjudicated with N400 in one single interview ,thanks for your anticipated responses
