  1. end of this month we go for the stamp thru infopass, we have to bring the approval letter and ID,

approval letter states: if u need temporary evidence of your perm resident status, make an Infopass appt to receive a stamp reflecting your new status in your passport,

our interview was over a year ago, so this is good news for us, tho I want that welcome letter so i know it is progressing,

  2. couple of questions, there was a notice with the AOS approval letter stating..... pursuant to section 216 you have been granted conditional permanent residence and than it gives dates to have the condition lifted, it is initialed by someone on the immigration signature line but there is blank lines for petitioner's and beneficiary signatures, there are no instructions if we are to send this in and to who?

Do you think it will take 9-12 months to get the actual green card like the letter says? how long did it take after the approval letter and you got the green card?

  3. ohhhhhhh i know the please and thank you issues, if he doesn't say please, I don't give him whatever he wants, just like we are taught :)

I did hug him at the airport the first time, took it easy on the affection in public there, here at home he has just grabbed my face all the sudden and smooched me in public, real quick and giddy.... than laughed like a mischievous boy saying I always wanted to do that in public.

thder,,,,, he's learning :) good news, it's a hard habit to break i'm sure, like us learning no more please and thank you's, would be kinda weird

    i think u have a good man :) and he's lucky too !

  4. thank you guys !! :)

Do you think it will take 9-12 months to get the actual green card like the letter says? Does it come from Vermont? We have an appt end of this month to get the stamp but it would be nice to have the actual card.

Lorenzo they sure are tough, we've been held up so long on bogus #######, "one" day error on the birth certificate which they knew from the beginning and vaccines required he didn't need per their guidelines, shewwwwwwww , it's cost us money and time but finally we got it !! :)

  5. are you kidding? outright denied, with no chance? u poor thing , that is just awful !! i wish you all the best!

skoopie the thing is , we did send them the correct info, i have the aos packet copy, and they have it, they forgot to look further, at his age, he doesn't get follow-up vaccines, (per immigration chart of vaccines given to civil surgeon) they have a chart of ages and who gets what, doc showed it to us,

  6. Thank you ! can you believe they wait two years to mention a vaccine issue? I never dreamed AOS would be like this, the rest was so smooth, is it Baltimore? i thought they had a good reputation?

there is nothing more horrible than opening that letter stating, this letter will serve as notice of our intent to deny the application for perm residence. now they have done it to us twice !!!!!!!!

  7. okay last I wrote, we got a denial notice in July 2005 because of a one day error on his birth certificate, they requested early childhood records and statements from his parents (which we had already put in the beginning k-1 packet) we sent that in by the required 30 days, got a notice back they would review it and give us a decision by April 2006, got a registered letter (thinking it was the answer) and it is a brand new denial letter, this time it says denial due to Health related grounds, we failed to present documentation of having rec'd vaccines, well we did, they had a copy of the form from the doctor in India, we were never told to follow-up with more shots, called lawyer, went to the civil surgeon listed who said he does not need shots, because of his age, what the doc gave in India, is all that is required, now we have a new sealed envelope with an I-693 filled out by the doc, this is pretty unbelievable,

now when we get a notice back, do u think it is going to say we will reach a decision in another nine months or so? reason I ask, he would like to visit home, lawyer said we can't leave till its resolved, anybody else been thru this nightmare?

    appreciate your thoughts, !
