  1. Parting with it was such sweet sorrow :( .......

You will need it for AOS , N&G ! I'm glad you got it at long last! :)

It's been real quiet here this week.....

Nagi, I know everyone has you in their thoughts, we're all pullin for you!

I think it's been quiet because most of us are past NVC, I've got my interview tuesday. I'm flying down today to be with her for it, and to give her THE ring. I guess we are all just doing our own things now.

  2. K1 approved today!!

thanks everyone for all your help i know i asked a million questions, but i should be done with this forum now! on to bug the AOS forums!

    good luck everyone!

CONGRATUALTIONS!!!!!! Does the affidavit of support need to be notarized??? Or can I just sign it in front of them?

  3. By the way we recieved an email (PDF) copy of our NOA2 from the lawyer today. We have our interview Tuesday and got our letter from the NVC already. CSC sucks

Good luck with interview!!! Danaik got her packet today. I am leaving june 29th to go down there for interview. I am sooooooooooooooooo excited. This arduous process is almost over. Then I will fly her here on August first. Congrats to everyone else who is at or past NVC!!! and YES!!!! CSC does suck, they are lucky i'm not an arsonist.

  4. Finally made it to the NVC!!! CSC can kiss my asp!

    :dance::dance::dance:

Congrats ken with all the great work U do U definantly deserve to past that CSC DEATH HOLE!!!

The NVC automated phone system doesn't work for me and I wondered if anyone else has the problem. When I call it I get the option to choose english or spanish and after choosing I get more of the message but part of the way through it acts like I pressed a button and says sorry I didn't understand your input, then starts over. After doing this a couple times it pretty much tells me (in a nice way) you're too stupid to use this system so we're gonna hang up now.

Anyone else have this looped problem with their automated line?

Just choose option 1 and then 0 it takes U straight to an operator

  5. I AM ON THE WAY TO EMBASSY!!!!!! I was bumbed out last week when they still hadn't gotten it. Ours left NVC May 30th. I am soooooo        :dance:

To those approved congratulations, and to those who are not keep calling or wait a week then call. The lady I spoke to told me to call back in a week and they can tell me when packet 3 was sent out. Soon we will all move to the embassy forum.

  6. If you go read the guides there is a general timeline, notice the little guy at the top of everything with the sign that says Please read the GUIDES?????

The timeline that says 1 month between sending the information and issuing the intervew, when most timelines I have seen on the site have a couple months before the interview? The guide has very little information about the process once it leaves the US and gets to the embassy, and the timeline has little specific information, just basically says the "embassy will send information and forms to fill out."

Going to police to request a report only takes a day, may take longer to get the report.

Not if the police reports are from two separate foreign countries and may or may not be considered "unobtainable."

The medical interview will take up another day, and she can go at her leisure. I do not see a problem, and you should not either.

Not when the medical interview is halfway across the country...

Also if she has things more pressing to get to you as quickly as possible, what's up with that?

An examination vital to her employment when she arrives here, that also will take place halfway across the country, that also must be booked months in advance...if the exam doesn't get done, her career gets delayed an entire year; and since my career needs to be planned to accommodate hers location-wise...we've got things to coordinate. We've got more things brewing than just waiting for the visa for her to immediately come to the US.

Seriously, things always seemed friendly on this forum, where did that salty response come from???

I apologize.......my girl lives in the capital city so for her it is easier. I was insensitive to your plight. I would have her make sacrifices there to get done what she needs for her future. I am guessing she is a doctor or nurse of some sort. again I apologize I forget not everyone is living in a capital city like my fiancee. You have made sacrifices, if it is family functions remind her she has to make sacrifices also. The situation we are all in is not perfect, we try to make it work to the best of our ability. If her engagements are something she can not break away from then you have to accept that, love her, and wait longer. I think they will take the police reports from the current country unless you listed both countries on a form. If that is the case she can probably obtain them by email or phone. I would look into that.

    Sorry,

    Nathan

  7. Hmm, so we are supposed to get a paper mail from NVC when it has been forwarded to the embassy?

I'm busy worrying about my fiancee's medical interview, police certificates, and the timing of the interview now, does anyone know the general way that works? Should another 2-3 months before the interview be expected? If it were only 2, it would be a problem, since she has some other things booked in mid july.

  8. I finally made it here! I just got off the phone with CSC, and we were approved on the 22nd in turns out :) so pretty soon I am gonna start calling NVC :)

CONGRATS Milenka!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to the NVC Thread!!!! I got my noa2 on the 9th and nothing with NVC yet. Be excited but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to any of this trying process.

  9. i got an email from NVC last night ..... they've recieved our petition...

    ****

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The approved 129F petition filed for a fiancé of a US citizen has been received at the National Visa Center it will be processed in approximately 2-4 weeks and forwarded to the appropriate US Consulate General. The Consulate General may or

may not request additional information before interviewing the applicant for a K1 nonimmigrant visa.

    ****

such formal little bugs arent they?

now i need my honey to send me all his additional stuff.........just incase they ask for it..

does the NVC ask the petitioner for more info before sending it all off to the consulate?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! I hope mine is comming soon. I keep calling the buggers but i'm not in the system yet. I will keep calling everyday and hope they get tired of me asking and will approve me just so I stop calling.

  10. Okay i just found this forum, yeah i'm a little slow i know....called uscis on may 17th and they told me we were approved on may 7th.....NVC received our packet on 5/21 and it was sent to london on 5/23. Two day turnaround is great! Anywho...we haven't gotten an email yet or anything in snail mail. How long is it taking everyone's paperwork to make it to their embassies?

Conratulations to you, and to everyone who is past NVC. Maybe my paperwork was lost in the mail?? :help:

  11. Has anybody that was approved late last week 17th or 18th, made it to NVC yet? I called them late last night, and my case is still not in their database, so I'm just curious if anyone else has had luck. I think there were a couple of us w/ NOA2 late last week. I know I'm being inpatient...I can't help it.

If NVC is turning these things around in a couple of days, that sounds good to me! I just hope my petition makes it to NVC soon! :)

    -P

I'm in the same boat U R. I got my NOA2 on the 9th of may, still not in their database. I have been to jail twice but not for the same thing. I am soooooooooooooo :( right now. I am going to still have Danaik call the embassy, maybe it passed through NVC sooo quickly it is not in their system???? :help:

  12. As everyone gone over to the NVC thread already? I am hoping that today is the day, after two touches in a row, I hope they will update my case online, or send me an e-mail so I KNOW when I am approved, instead of having to call via skype to USCIS, and try the RFE thing...

No, probably are most like me. We are posting in the other thread but we still creep around this one to see how y'all are doin. We are hoping for U to get approved soon.
