  1. Hello,

My fiance is from Jamaica and we have completed all the steps with tge exception of his police report. He went to get it and they started that they was a questionable item on it; however his attorney had handle it back in 2008. But they will not release his record because it is still showing.  Unfortunately his lawyer us in vacation and his appt with the embassy is on Aug 29th; which was rescheduled from the 20th if Aug. We dint know which direction to go in at this time. Any advice on what we can do to get his police report? Or should he go to the interview without it? Please help!

So which one do I submit first the Affidavit of Support or the ds-160?

Correction I know that I send the Affidavit of Support and all my supporting docs to my fiance but I'm trying to figure out how to go about getting an interview set up oh, so do I do the ds-160 or should I wait to get a packet from the embassy? We have not received a packet yet.

Fill out DS-160 save a copy of confirmation page and send it to email. Go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ to create an account. Pay visa fees and schedule interview. Once interview is scheduled go to https://www.andrewsmemorialhospital.com/ to schedule medical(you put information in the form and submit and they will contact you with the medical date. You will need:

1.) a total of 6 passport photos (4 for medical, 2 for interview)

    2.) Certificate of non impediment

    3.) Police certificate

4.) Original and copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate

    5.) Passport( beneficiary)

6.) interview appointment letter and copy of ds-160 confirmation with barcode

7.) Any additional proof of relationship (they may not ask for it but better safe then sorry)

    8.) I-134 affidavit of support

My Fiancé just had an interview last week and was approved and visa issued. They required 1 yr of tax transcripts (2018), 2018 W-2, 3 paycheck stubs( I get paid every 2 weeks so a month and a half worth.) I didn’t have a letter from my employer but I did have a print out of my job title, and how long I’ve been with the company. Good luck to you!

So which one do I submit first the Affidavit of Support or the ds-160?

A little insight as well to you, I married a very nice guy from Jamaica, trust me you want to be absoulutely sure that this is what you want, because once he gets here, it's 4 to 5 more years of paperwork and on time filings with and for him, trust me you have to be in super love to go through all this so that he can stay current with all the paperwork and cards and so forth, my husband never acted differently, but i actually did, asking myself do i really want to go through this..in the end it all worked out, we are soo happy..but test your man, put some major questions out there to find out what it is, see if he will come up with all his future fees for medical and visa fee, let him do things to see if this is what he really wants, also pray if you love him, and I'm sure if it's true love it's a go, if not you will see RED FLAGS!!  take heed...this is a very big step and you don't want the drama later on meaning financial issues or any other issues...and don't use Rapid Visa, you can do this all yourself and don't waste the money, we just finished the last step and it was all worth it..if you have any questions on forms or anything, you can always send me a personal message..I will be so very glad to help..Take care!!

Thank you for your insight...if you don't mind I would appreciate if I could speak with you with any questions I may have.

First off, please provide a little more specific information. Where your paperwork is in the process will determine what steps you have to do to stop the process.

Your visa petition was approved, NOA2? You are now waiting for the approved visa petition to go to NVC? You have a DOS visa casefile number? Is the approved visa petition  yet at the interviewing embassy/consulate?

To avoid any potential future repercussions, I would suggest that you, the petitioner, craft a visa withdrawal letter, short and sweet.  Send a copy to the interviewing embassy/consulate and a copy to the servicing USCIS service center. In it I would reference your DOS casefile number,  your USCIS reference number, and the name of your ex-beneficiary. I would include a brief statement explaining your current relationship situation, and your request for withdrawal from further consideration or advancement of this visa application. Do not file a Form I-134.  This withdrawal is final, and cannot be changed, reinstated, or appealed. In your letter to USCIS, I would likely include a copy of your I-129F visa petition approval letter (NOA2) for reference. I would likely email the letter to the interviewing embassy/consulate, and mail the letter with attachments to the USCIS service center first class, return receipt requested.

Best wishes on your future immigration journey.

Nothing more then receiving the approval for the NOA2 and currently waiting the receipt of my petition to NVC.

Again, I recommend you withdraw your petition -  we know that you can decide not to marry him once he is in US but he can overstay his visa like many illegal immigrants and this may come back to you.

Maybe I can do that through rapid Visa, that's whom I used.

  7. Ok GREAT family! I really appreciate the rapid responses to my concerns. Thank you all very, very much.

Yes we was approved for the noa2 and awaiting the receipt by the NVC.

No other actions has taking place outside of the noa2.

  8. So my fiance and I was approved on May 10, 2019. My question is; what happens after he is approved for his Visa and I decided I don't want to marry him. Will he still be able to come to the US?

I am seriously having doubts after reading a lot of the issues every one else is having and not to mention he is acting a little different since finding out about the NOA2.

    Please advise,  thank you.
