Either way is ok
you have identified yourself in opening sentence, just a signature is fine
typing name and then signing under it is more formal
Thank you for your response. What about the date please? Do I need to type it the print or print then write it with a pen?

Hello, I hope you're all doing well. Can you please help me ? Im preparing the intent to marry and I have questions :
- Do I type my name at the bottom, type the date, print then wet sign or Do I print it then write my name, date it (at the bottom) using a pen and wet sign it? ( Please find attached below two examples)
- Also for the visa/passport type picture, the format I have is 5x5 cm (5.1x5.1 cm is requested) will it be accepted or do I need to take other pictures ? Thank you.
I know I'm overthinking. I just want to do it right. Your help will be appreciated. Thank you. Have a good day.

The ministry of religious affairs in Algeria told me that they don't accept a document from Masjeeds (Mosque) in US. They only accept ones from France and England (if I'm not mistaken). When I told them that my soon to be husband has a Muslim first name and last name they told me to bring his and his parents birth certificates.

elhamdo lellah
then he will need a document from the IMAM at his mosque stating this
it can be signed by a notary to verify the signature (free at most banks we do business with)
Actually, Algeria doesn't accept a document from an Imam from US unfortunately. But with some research I found a way to prove that he is muslim ( Muslim last name + marriage certificate of his parents with a muslim mahr amount )

Are you saying your country does not recognize legal marriages performed in other countries?
That's what an officer at the city hall told me. I'll still be single for them

it is valid for immigration
do you care about Algeria?
Of course I care. I want to maintain my rights in my country.

The requirements and steps from the US side are here.
Thank you. We've read them but the city hall demanded a written statement by the embassy not my fiancé.

1. read this for information
2. you get an affadivit of eligibility to marry from the US consulate in Algers
3. you need to take all documents (originals ) to Algeria and have them translated into Arabic by a certified translator / they will keep both the English originals and the new translations for the application to marry
marriage in Algeria takes long to be approved
why not meet in Tunisia and do it there? much easier
Thank you for your reply.
They told me that my marriage won't be valid if I get married in Tunisia and that I need to be a resident there to be able to get married.

Hello,
I hope you're doing all well. My fiancé and I are planning to get married in Algeria. When we went to the city hall, they gave us a list of required documents. I have some questions regarding some of them, please help :
1- Capacity of marriage cetrificate : Where do you get this certificate. while calling the embassy in Algiers, they told us that they don't provide it.
2- Proof that my fiancé is single : is there a document he can get from there (USA).
3- Where do you certify all the papers before coming to Algeria please? Do you need to certify them at the Algerian embassy as well ? and how many copies should he make.
Please share your experience with us. Appreciated
thank you,
