  1. Hello, I was hoping I can get some help.

My brother and are thinking of hiring a lawyer for my mothers case. So below is a small question I added  to a group and get some advice-after doing some research I decided to log into my mothers NVC account - it had a red flag on the DS-260 form with "needs to be updated" I didn't think much of it- and updated the information, few minutes later I get an email confirming the form was summiting and ds-260 was sent to the location she will be having interview.

'Thank you for being a valued U.S. Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) customer. Your online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application Form(DS-260) has been submitted.  '' but none of her information affidavit / etc are updated- all the information is from sep 2015. Does this make sense?

I'm trying to file paper for my mother- she had her green card back in 1988-1989 from the amnesty. In 2008 she had to renew her papers and was denied (not sure why) few months later she had to travel out of the country (Mexico) and lost all her right to the case. 2014-2015 I applied for her and she was denied, I'm guessing she was ban for 10 years- she will be eligible to apply again in 2020- Can I start her process? Would immigration need new police reports?

I decided to log into NVC and see I was able to find anything, her DS-260 was on red and stated it needed to be updated - I updated and summitted and received an confirmation 'Thank you for being a valued U.S. Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) customer. Your online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application Form(DS-260) has been submitted and has been forwarded to your location of interview'. Is this correct???
