Pls give me some advice....the day after my FP,I got stopped for driving with suspended tags... witch I was not aware of. Apparently I had failled to do the initions. My DL was taken by the patrol officer. The day after I took care of all/ got a new DL, had the initions done.

My interview ttok place on Fev 24 went fine, I did mention to the IO that i got a tickets she asked me if i took care of it and I mentionned to her that I had to go to court at the end of March. the IO told I should have a decision made within 120 days.

I had planned to go vitit my parents in Belgium in March so I asked call the court and they says that my husband could come and directly talked to the judge.My husband showed up in court and the judge had him that it was imparative that I be present for that case and it should then be reschedule.

Whitin That is when i received the RFE with a reply date of May 08 asking me to sent in the proof that the case had been settle.

I checked on Maryland Court system online, and surprised I realized that an arrest warrent had been issued. At that point I decided to play it safe and had preffered that a lawyer took over. It cost me $ 650 but only the arrest warrant was cancelled. The lawyers asked for an extra $ 500 to take care of the rest with no garantee of the outcome. I decided to wait for the new court date and go myself.Now the new court date of June 27.

From all the posting I have been reading, a traffic violation should not be an issue for the N400 applications. what do you VJ4 think??? Is the immigration waiting on the outcome of that case to decide or should I hear from them withing a 120 days. waiting for your reply.

I had my interview today in BAltimore, MD. The appointment was for 1pm and was seen bythe IO close to 1:20 pm. She was pleasant. She made me swear first and then proceed to verify all the informations on my application. She made small notation as she moved along.

I decided to add my husband last name - to mine. She made the change on the another page, printed up and had me signed.

She spend time on the section on the travels abroad. I have been out close to 16 months. All of that time had been spread over 6 trips in Africa. Each trip was always less than 6 months. She even matched up the informations with the entries on my passport. She asked why did i spend so much time overseas. I explained that my mother has not been well and that i want to enjoy her as long as i could. She asked for the bith certificates of my 2 sons and wondered if we already had file for the 2010 taxes. I said not yet.

She review all the yes-no questions. She then asked me the 5 questions. There were quite easy:

1)who is the vice president. 2) how many amendments are they. 3) why dis the colonist fight Great BRitain 4) on the 4 amendment who can vote unfortunatly 5) what is the name of the ocean on the West coast.

The writting sentence was also an easy on: all citizens can vote.

She made me signed all documents and i also had to review the info that would appear on my naturalization certificate.

As i tought this is was a winner, she informs me that she did not have a chance to review my file and a decision could not be made yet.

Imagine my surprise!!!!!

Than she says she has up to 120 days to decided but if I did not hear from her within 60 days to either call or get an info passe. She then got up, congratulated me on passing the test and walked me out..

The all process took close to 25 minutes.

I really had the feeling that would be a walk in the park as I filed under 3 year rule. My 3 men are usc and i still am a Belgian.

My husband keep telling me that all will be fine and not to stress about it. I have mixed feeling about the experience but I am a child of God and therefore I am claiming that victory. I know that a positif outcome will be end result.

I had sent out an official check, apparently it has been cashed since my balance is zero.

My filed office is Baltimore. MD

We didn't use a lawyer to file the adjustment but we spoke to two during the process.

Never advise posters not to use a lawyer. We are not experts here. Let the poster decide for themselves.

We initialy had a consult with a lawyerfor $ 75 that wanted to charges us $ 2000 for the entire procedure.

Once I had all my questions answer and I read the paperwork.... That seems possible.

We choose to do it without the lawyer . With Visa Journey and all the others... the adventure was succesfull.

This is a wonderful site.

What I'm concerned about is the forms themselves, the I-130, I-485 etc, and the affidavit of support with all the tax info. The interview form says to bring them in (UNLESS ALREADY SUBMITTED) so I haven't been too woried

I have the marriage certs, and all that stuff.

I had my green card hearing all went well, we just didnt have enough evidence to prove that we are married and living together. They said that we can get a affidavit from her mother saying that we are living with her and an affidavit from a neighbor stating that they see us and know of our relationship.

My question is does these affidavits need to be notarized.

I called the 800 number today to see if *maybe* there was any news on the FBI name check. She said she was showing nothing as of yet. She said our local office is processing applications dated July 19th and ours was dated July 12th. So she said to call back in 30 days if we hadn't heard anything (but she says she thinks we will ??) and she will submit something to see what's going on with the name check. Should I put any faith into anything good coming out of what she said? lol

I want to be in your office. Mine is depressingly slow!

And yes I know some people have been waiting for two years, but it's because of FBI name check and not scheduled interviews so I allow myself to whine.

I had the IO say something of the same sort and that they would get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago. I don't trust them.

I only truely belive something from them when I see it written on paper.

But you should definitely call in 30 days (or even less) to see if there is an update. You'll end up talking to a different IO anyway, so it can't hurt. If only to feel like we are doing something

Oh and TomYu , when the list was started it was based on filing before July 25th, because filing after often meant an August NOA. If you'd like to join this list I'd be glad to add you though.

I wouldn't stress on it. It seems that the worse case scenerio is an RFE for the questionable documents. If the IO said you will not have to come back, then whatever is wrong (if any) can be handled through the mail.... or so it seems.

Same thing happend to me. Had my interview in Baltimore, MD and I am an pending immigrant.

I have not heard from them since and It has been 3 weeks....

My wife needs to have a TB test done for the Adjustment of Status. Does anyone know of a Doctor in the Boston area that does this for a low fee. The cheapest I've found so far is $185. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did u check with the list of civil surgeons in the Boston area.....or Public health department........185...is too much

$ 185 is too expensive.... call all the civil doctors in your area and ask how much they charged. Mine only charged me $120 in MD BUT I CALLED EVRYONE ON THE LIST .

We were with the IO for about 15 min. A few easy questions and my I94 was removed as well.

Just like you I was recommended for approval.

He said thet he will have my file review by his supervisor and if everything is fine,I will get the GC. If not they may ask for furthur info.

I ask if my name had clear the FBI. The IO said that everything look good.

I asked for a stamp in my passport because I never received my work permit and he says he could not do that.

Where am I..... I feel like I am in limbo.

My girlfriend had her interview in the same day as well and got the same result.

Can anyone let me know of other case like that?

n+alisa2006+l It's good to hear that IO can be nice and work themselves on finding the proof they need so they can approve you. I'm glad it went well.

Iyahata It sounds like they didn't even check if you had passed the FBI namecheck or not since you received a letter of approval so soon after.

I hope we get news too. You're welcome for the list, I figured everyone would be happy to see some movements and even better approvals added on it.

We had our interview on Tuesday and at the end were told we were going to be recommended for approval, and I was also told my security checks have all been cleared. If this is the case, is there anything else that could cause a significant delay in getting the GC? I am not being overly anxious ( I know its only been two days) but I have been looking at some timelines of other people who were interviewed in Baltimore and for some odd reason many of them have waited months after the interview (even with namecheck cleared) before getting their GC. Any ideas why? Also, at what point should I get paranoid if I dont get the GC int he next little while and start bugging our congress rep or senators? Thanks

If last year's tax return shows being well above the income requirement, that is all that you need to submit initially. Don't feel like you need to send in three years worth, if last year's is over the income requirements it will be sufficient.

I would recommend having all three years tax information at hand during the interview though, and only give it if asked.

When we apply for the AOS in July 07, we send out the tax for 2006 and we were all above the poverty line. We did received an RFE in Sept and were delayed for 20 days.

I mailled out the tax for the last 3 years. Give them what you have.... it is not worth being delay if you can avoid it.

Go to an Infopass appointment ASAP. It was most likely returned to them as undeliverable and an Immigration Officer has to ask them to reissue the document or resend it if it's sitting on someone's desk. The same thing happened to us, except they were nice enough to tell us it was returned to them. Only going in for an Infopass appointment cleared up the situation. You should not need to reapply since it is their error.

I just came back from my Infopass appointment and I was told that my EAD was never returned to the Immigration and therefore I have to reapply for it and spend more than $ 300 . Is there anything else I can do.

I am so frustraded and upset. I do want to spend more money specially not for something I have never received.

Any advice?
