    Hello!! 

    Are we supposed to mail the affidavit of support to the chicago address or does he take them.with him to the interview? Please let me know soon if I have to mail them so I can do it right away.

      If they are telling you to mail your affidavit of support to Chicago address I would do it.  I would also send a copy to your fiance as well.

      I will tell you what I had my fiance took with him to the embassy.  The binder was huge, I had him take a copy of the I-129 that we submitted to the USCIS, I-134, W-2, IRS transcript (I did 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015), most current pay slips, I-797, our story, all of our pictures  with dates and what we were doing, all our conversations, all our phone calls, wedding plans, IG account (we created a couple page) Conversations with family, pictures with family, airline tickets, the whole copy in color of your passport, police records, receipt of paying the embassy, doctor file.

      You bring the affidavit of support to the interview.  Make sure you get all your documents together.  Your binder should be organized and should show lots of proof.  You want the CO to take you seriously

    Hello everyone,

     

    I wanted to tell my story on how good God is to us!  We applied for the K-1 Visa 10/2018 and was approved 7/2019.  A total of 9 months.  It took lots of payer and trusting that God would see us through this had situation.  I am here so I can encourage people on this site.  I want to say keep the faith and pray thank God for what he is doing for you.  The road may seem long and tiresome but just hold on and be patient.  I know some people may not stay on the site once they get approved but, I would like to use my experience of what me and my fiance went through.  Feel free to ask any questions if you like.  (K1 Visa only) 😊

      If it is for the K-1 you should have filed the DS-160 when the NVC told you they are sending over your petition to the embassy

      The NVC sends a letter or an email to you stating they have your petition and they will forward it over to the embassy.
