  1. I sent my affidavit of support as soon as it was set to the NVC I only signed it and just asked my fiancé write in a date once we scheduled his interview. He actually forgot to put in a date for that document only and they pointed it out that was just missing the date at hid interview but we were still approved and he has his visa now.

Yes that is normal. AP is a normal step in the process. Here is what takes place.

Just about everyone goes through this process.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of the steps to complete the processing of your visa:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out.

So this is what it updated this morning.. it says Issued. Then below says “Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application.

For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy Algiers.

Its not approved till you have the visa in hand. Many embassies keep the passport as they are anticipating their approval and they want to process the visa as quickly as they can. I believe you're fine.

Follow your case on ceac.state.gov use immigrant and case numbe till it gives you an error. Then switch to non-immigrant when it will be issued shortly after.

It has the same status for both immigrant and non immigrant right now they both say mandatory administrative processing. That is normal then?

  4. I got the email from the NVC on 4/2/2019 with the case number. On https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/ it shows status as ready as of 4/3/2019 how long is it before we should expect email from the Embassy?? I have the invoice number because when I called the NVC they gave me both my case number and the invoice number. But we still need to wait for the email from the Embassy before he can go pay the fee so he can schedule his interview, is that correct?? Also my fiance is starting to gather all evidence now so we are ready for the interview. How many conversations or screenshots should we include?? We have been together for over 15 months now so it's a lot of conversations with talking everyday. Any advise on a good way to put together our conversations? What other things would be good to be preparing now at this point??? 🤷🏼‍♀️
