    Thank you Sam95.

I'm trying to figure out if your case is similar to ours... I'm currently the one living in the USA and my husband is in Mexico.  If NBC might be processing interviews before they get approved.  Would that mean I get interviewed in a local office and my husband in a Mexico local office?  I was not sure if that was your case also?

I think our cases are very similar. My wife is the petitioner and I’m obviously the beneficiary. I’m currently living in Mexico and my wife has been down here with me for about a month or so but when we applied for I-130 back in September 2018, our lawyer told us that prior to the application being approved she might have to go through an interview at our local office in PA to show a bona fide marriage and the reason for the is because we got married while I was in deportation proceedings. However I did not get deported, I had a voluntary departure.

Sam95, Have you received any new news on your application?  We are almost 8 months in since the attorney submitted our application and the worst part is that there isn't a processing time option for the NBC on the USCIS website to check for status.

No, unfortunately we have not received anything yet but our lawyer told us that it was sent to NBC because they usually process interviews before they get sent to a local office. Our attorney told us we had to go through an interview at our local office prior to our application getting approved. I don’t know if that’s your case but My wife and I are hoping we hear from them soon. I’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear something. Good luck on your process!

    Question:

We have an attorney processing our I-130 application. He filed in early Aug. 2018 and our file was currently at the Potomac Office. When he filed the application he didn't submit a lot of evidence showing bona fide marriage/relationship other than my plane ticket when we got married. Back in early Feb. 2019 we got a letter stating that our file was transferred to the National Benefit Center. It's been over 7 months now and still no response. Wondering if the delay is because he did not submit enough bona fide evidence? Anyone that might have an idea?

    Thank you.

Hey I have similar issue, my wife (petitioner) and I (beneficiary) summited our I-130 with our lawyer back on September 14th 2018, and we received a letter from USCIS couple days ago saying that our case was transferred to NBC for faster processing.. I wonder if this means they’ll make a decision on our applications faster or what.. keep me updated please
