i think this question is more regarding to if you're a thug/gang, who uses weapons against civlians, i'd answer this question "no"
that makes a lot of sense, sometimes, i read things too literally(perhaps mild asd?). thanks!

Hi, Im applying for citizenship. (finally!
)
on form N400.
I am a korean citizen and I have served in the korean army(mandatory duty for any korean male citizen)
however I'm not sure how what's the best way to answer the following.
Part 12. question 17.
Were you EVER a part of any group, or did you EVER help any group, unit, or organization that used a weapon against any person, or threatened to do so?
A military unit does use weapons against people..
I can't seem to find an answer to this by googling.
apologies if this is a duplicate question.
so should I answer yes?
Many thanks in advance!

For anyone who sees this in the future, there is one occasion where you would file n400 with paper: when you file i942 (reduced fee for n400) if your income is between 150%-200% poverty level. There is no way you can file i942 online and uscis emphasizes that n400 and i942 have to be filed at the same time (in the same packet). Hope this helps.
