Hi May 2019 AOS fillers! I expedited my EAD due to financial loss and I was given a job offer from the nursing home where I am volunteering at. Today, they approved it and will produce my card. On the same day, my AOS case changed to ready to be scheduled for an interview.

I am one of the people here who don't have SSS because the local office didn't give me one. It was so frustrating. So, I decided to volunteer and put my mind to anywhere else aside from thinking about the process. And it worked!

As I always say, God made us to be here with our husband. Everything will go well because he is looking down on us. It is a long process but God is with us in this journey.

Hi! I just did my Biometrics today Aug. 8 and I don't know how long will I get my working authorization permit. May I know what did you do to expedite it? I also need a job and I applied for a job anywhere but they're asking me for my working permit which I don't have it yet. Any advice for me? Thank you! :)

Since you asked, this is the way I assembled my packets (sorry this is going to be long) :):

I had 4 packets, one for I-130, one for I-485, one for I-765 and one for I-131

    For I-130 I included:

      Hide contents

    -Cover letter

    -Personal check for $535

-Form G-1145 with my husband's contact info (petitioner)

    -Form I-130

    -Form I-130A

-2 passport photos of the petitioner (name written on the back)

-2 passport photos of the beneficiary (name written on the back)

    -Photocopy of marriage certificate

-Photocopy of my husband’s biographic page of passport and all subsequent pages
-Photocopy of my husband's Certificate of Naturalization
-Photocopy of my husband's birth certificate (with attached translation that I did myself)
-Photocopy of my birth certificate (with attached translation that I did myself)
-Evidence of a bona-fide marriage/relationship (copy of lease, bank statements, bills, boarding passes for trips, and photos)

    For I-485:

      Hide contents

-Personal check for $1,225 (filing fee and biometrix)
-Form G-1145 with my info (beneficiary)
-2 passport photos of the beneficiary (name written on the back)
    -Form I-485
    -Form I-94, electronic copy
    -Photocopy of marriage certificate
-Photocopy of my birth certificate (with attached translation that I did myself)
-Photocopy of my biographic page of passport
    -Photocopy of my visa
-Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support ) along with:
      a. Four most recent pay stubs
      b. 2018 Tax Return
      c. 2018 W-2
      d. Photocopy of my husband's birth certificate (with attached translation that I did myself)
      e. Photocopy of my husband's Certificate of Naturalization

    For I-765:

      Hide contents

-2 passport photos of the beneficiary (name written on the back)

    -Form I-765

-Photocopy of my biographic page of passport

    -Photocopy of my visa

    -Form I-94, electronic copy

    -Photocopy of marriage certificate

    For I-131:

      Hide contents

-2 passport photos of the beneficiary (name written on the back)

    -Form I-131

-Photocopy of my biographic page of passport

    -Photocopy of my visa

    -Form I-94, electronic copy

    -Photocopy of marriage certificate

    A few tips:

Put each packet in a separate paper folder, don't staple anything, not even the forms, just use paper clips. Since you need so many passport photos, I suggest downloading an app where you can take them yourself and edit them (I used Passport Photo Maker) and then you can have them printed at Walmart or Walgreens for way cheaper (when I asked it was like $10-$12 for just 2 passport pictures). Also use a personal check rather than a cashier's check, if you can, so you can "track" when they actually take the money and that way you'll know they have received your case. I shipped mine through FedEx since I have had issues with USPS in the past. If you use FedEx, choose the regular rate. They wanted to charge me over $60 for 2 day shipping, while the regular rate was like $11. I chose the $11 one and it still arrived in 3 days.

They will also send you a notice telling you you need to do a medical exam (if you haven't already done it), IDK if you know how that works, only certain doctors can do it so I suggest researching that a little bit if you haven't yet. I received this notice, it's not an RFE or anything like that, it simply told me to bring the form I-693 (the form that the doctor will fill out and sign) to the interview. Some people choose to send it with the initial packet though, it's up to you!/

Yay! Thank you so much! You have answered all the things I need to know. one last thing, do you know which address should I send this to?

    Thanks again and God bless!

  4. I came here as J1 student last 2015 and didn't return to the Philippines after my contract. So right now, I'm out of status and last year I decided to get married to a US citizen, december 2018.

Now, I want to file for a green card with concurrent filing, just not sure if I still have to submit G-325 or G-325a?

I already filled out the forms I-130, I-130A, G-1145, I-485, I-765 and I-131. Am I missing something? or is there something I don't need to submit regarding the forms that I filled out?

I have all the requirements that I need including my spouse's birth certificate, copy of passport, our marriage cert, my birth cert. (philippines), copy of my passport and expired J1 visa, I-94, SEVIS, joint tax, house lease, utility bills, bank statements (joint account), pictures, affidavit of support from 3rd parties, invoice from online orders, cert of employment, spouse's pay stubs

Also, I'm really not sure how to assemble my packet? can anyone please help me? I watched a lot on youtube on how they prepare their own packets but most of them are K1 visa. not sure if it's going to be the same with my situation.

    Thanks for all your help!

You may file for petition and adjustment of status at same time. Forms needed.

    1. Form I-130 - Petition

    2. Form I-130A - Petition supplementary

    3. Form I-485 - Adjust status (concurrent filing)

    4. Form I-864 - Affidavit of support (concurrent filing)

    5. Form I-765 - work authorization (concurrent filing)

    6. Form I-131- Advance parole travel document (concurrent filing)

    7. Form G-1145 - Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance (optional)

Concurrent filing means you can submit work document (EAD) and travel document (Advance parole) at the same time as the I130 petition.

Thank you ms nastra30! these are all the forms that i need to submit right? but how many requirements do i need to submit for a bonafide marriage? do i have to submit original copies or photocopy is fine? thanks alot!
