  1. Hi guys,

My mom sent the I-130 form to Vermont and she already got an NOA1 - my question to the VJers is the following:

1- How long the process could take, is it really 6-12 months like some others said? Yes

2- What will be the next step of the process ie what other document they'll have after sending the I-130? It is similar to the I-130 route for a spouse. You will need proof of his relationship to your mother (BC, adoption papers, etc). There may be other documents required by NVC.

3- Will he have to go to an interview? Yes

4- I tried to found the step guide for the I-130 but no success, can anyone send me a link or something please? Click for I-130 Spousal Guides. Some of the steps will not be relevant for your brother, but it gives you a good idea of what to expect.

    Thanks.

    :)

ETA: I just noticed that you wrote "adopted". Was he officially adopted or not? If not, I don't think she will be able to bring him here.

Yup he is OFFICIALLY adopted. Cleared from court.

Let me know if you have any info.

    Thanks

    Hey guys,

I know it been awhile since I've been on the site, however, everything is or should I say was going well until a letter that I received on the mail saying that they have cancelled our interview date which was supposed to held on March. One thing I don't get is that we have received the confirmation letter a day prior to the cancellation one. It says:

This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have canceled the previously scheduled interview on March 2008 for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. You will be notified of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under serapate notice.

I'm wondering did any been thru this before? should I be worried?

Your help will be really appreciated.

    Thanks guys.

Go to the interview anyway! We received an e-mail, and the regular mail saying that our interview for Feb. 1, 2007 was cancelled....and out Atty received the hardcopy also, so we didn't go and got denied for failure to appear for interview.....had to pay $385 to REOPEN the file and didn't get out interview rescheduled until Aug. Now we are still waiting for a decision, and just recieved an appointment for Biometrics Again for the AOS.....

Just simplier to go......the worst they can tell you if you go is that it was canceled...if you don't go, you could get denied.

  9. Givanny,

Are you asking how much you need so as not to need a sponsor? Or are you asking how much your sponsor need to be accepted as your sponsor?

    Yodrak

What's the minimum of cash that someone should have on their account to be considered as a PASS (or able to support)?

    .....

    Thanks.

    Giovanny

Pretty much I wanted to know how much should I, petioner, have on my bank account for the Affidavit of support be Approved. i.e some people might have $5k and some $25k... will the $5k be questioned like saying NOT ENOUGH? And one other question, after receiving packet 3, how long does it take for schedule an interview (average time).

    Thanks

    Giovanny

  10. I've received a letter stating that my I-129f has been forwarded on to the US Embassy in Seoul. It's been 1 month since then and my fiance still has not received her packet 3.

What should I do to get more info on this? Should I call the embassy? Any info would be great.

Well guess I'm not alone cause I was also searching for some answers. It been 3 weeks on my side. And now I'm lost have no Idea what should I do. I was thinking about starting to prepare my AOS, however, my employer ask me to send them the letter/form of the Consulate request, now they got me good cause I don't even know what to tell them unless I present them the NOA2 (I know its a little bit of topic).... Guess we should call the Consulate/Embassy and check it out.

    Gio.

  11. I stand by my original prediction. I predict that on or before March 17th, January filers will see approvals.

    ;)

    Come on CSC!!!!!!!!!!

That's strange you guys haven't receive NOA2 yet??? Danm, I don't want to leave my team of January filers behind  , Are you guys also from Vermont? What are you guys status when you check online?

    Thanks,

    Gio.
