  2. i'm excited! i have a movie date with a really cute fella tomorrow. i let him pick the movie(Shrek 3) and i just know i'll end up paying for the whole date but that's ok. i mean, how many more times is my 5 year old baby boy going to ask me for a date before he's asking other girls, lol? :)

Its a cute movie, you will enjoy it!! Luckily at 9 Elisha is still more into mama than girls...the same cant be said of Olivia and boys at 13 though. Baseball geme tonight, work and baseball practice tomorrow, laundry and cara and mo time on Sunday. Did you air get fixed Allison?

yeah, it was fixed. for about 24 hours and then it quit again! :crying:

  3.:wacko: i had not planned on going to morocco yet again before my fiance arrived in the us. but now that the consulate is still closed and no opening in sight (and who knows when his interview will end up being/how long AP will be!!) i want to go see my fiance so badly. now that summer is here prices for plane tickets are DOUBLE what i paid just a few months ago. i've been checking everywhere.

travelocity, sidestep, kayak, expedia, orbitz, royal air maroc website, etc. does anyone have any in on finding good deals that i don't know of? i've also called my local moroccan travel agent and am waiting to hear back about what he can find. :help: the best i can find has been around $1300. thats insane!

have you checked Air France? If you're not afriad of rare strains of TB, they have really good prices.

  6. im off by a day this week i feel....just missin Geo, of course lol. We talk on the phone for a mere 7mins a day like sometimes up to 10 LOL. we spread it out to two smaller calls. Sometimes i send him a loving text message and he misscalls me to let me know he got it.....and of course we do our missed calls once per hr. that is really what keeps me going is knowing he is thinking of me every hr :) so since the public offices are closed most of thur and fri over there he will be getting the papers to the 'runner' which is also his friend on Saturday and hopefully after that it wont take too long for them to make a decision at the foriegn ministry.......im tired of waiting. butttt at least we have progress that he has the papers from his sponser now!! hmmmm what elseeee.....yep im still butt azz sick. and tomorrow nite i am supposed to be getting all pretty'd up and chaperoning my sister junior high prom(called June Jam)......hopefully ill feel better lol. tonite we got 3 girls spendin the nite so we can try different hair styles and do the nails. my sis is the only one getting her hair done at the salon. i would be i got this poodle on my head so not much styling to do to it lol. water and gel...my best friends these days!

okay here i go off on my rantss, must be cause im so darn medicated lol...

hope everyone is havin a good day!

    ~Hugs

It's not a poodle, lol! do you know how many women would kill to have hair like yours? :)

  7. It's my firm belief that every new bride should recieve a cast iron frying pan as a gift and know that it's not just for frying chicken! Now, i'm not promoting violence in the home by any means but i think the first time a woman beating moron comes to after having his clock cleaned, he'll think twice about hitting a woman again. It's up to those of us who have sons to teach them at a very early age to have respect for women and to those who have daughters to accept nothing less than that. If you were to ask my 5 year old how are you supposed to treat a girl, he will tell you without hesitation that you treat girls like princesses.

I sooooo agree with you. Every see Madea's family reunion? Grit Ball???:lol: Now there is a lesson in how to handle an abusive spouse. I'm always sad to hear relationships end, and even more so when they end because of this. I hope Jean can be strong enough to make the right choices and not feel guilty.

Yes Charles, it was the combination of you saying it and Noura's hormones that sparked that outburst. I'm sure she'll be find after some caffeine.

We had a wild weekend. Found out on friday that we have have to move 3 households in 60 days. Spent the weekend house hunting. Think we found something that will work for everyone. Noe to sort, clean and sell 50 years worth of stuff at my grandma's and help with 30 years worth at my parents.. :help: Anyone got ativan they can spare?

all of Madea's movies/plays are so hilarious! the songs in the plays are a little long but well worth sitting though!

  9. i want as many as we could have, unfortunatly, i had a tubal before we met. but my Driss has complete faith that we will have the little girl we always dream about. i love this man! (L)

I'm having my tubal ligation reversed! You might want to look into it. http://www.tubal-reversal.net/

We're thinking (highly considering) adoption. I was so ill when I was pregnant with my daughter, and was a high risk pregnancy. I am VERY lucky my daughter is healthy and has no problems related to my pregnancy. So no more pregnancies for me. Even though we would like to have another child, Khallid says my children make him happy if that's all the children God wants to give him. :luv: Such a sweet man!

That's so wonderful that you and your daughter made it though a rough pregnancy! Driss said that even if we didn't have any, he would be happy with just my son but i want at least one more. We've already picked out names. How's that for blind faith? lol

  10. Ok Allie... are you checking the uscis website as much as I am now??? I think I am there more than I am on myspace or the windstream webpage(and I use that 8 hrs a day at work lol)!!! Hope everything is good!!!

    [/quote

i am checking it religiosly! yesterday, i was at the hospital waiting while my baby cousin underwent heart surgery( she came through like a champ! ) when someone mentioned there was a room with internet access, my ears immediatly perked up. my fingers literally itched to sign in, lol.

  11. someone at the USCIS is on a roll today! after our petition was returned, i got kind of disheartened checking the website every day and seeing no change. after hearing news of a fellow VJer having been touched today, (congrats to cara and mo) i thought one more look won't hurt. lo and behold, we've been touched! just another baby step but at least it's something. :)

  12. Looks like your timeline is about 2 months ahead of ours with the return, you dont think California will just cancel it? and hearing it takes about 6 months to get the paper before we can refile.

i know there is a possibility that they could deny it but i refuse to dwell on it. when i found out that our petition had been returned, i knew we weren't going to be one of the lucky couples. our journey was going to be long and frustrating. i just keep in mind that it can't last forever and one day, driss and i will be together. if a denial is in our future, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, but like you and yours, casa has not seen the last of driss and allie! keep us in the know about your baby steps, too. lots of luck! :)

  13. i learned this morning that our returned petition was recieved at the NVC on friday and was sent off to the California Service Center yesterday. i know it's not much but it just feels better knowing SOMETHING! it made me smile. that and the fact that the rep i talked to sounded exactly like Roz from Monsters, Inc. i could almost see her horned rimmed glasses and the under-the-nose lipstick, lol. so i guess i can start looking for the NOID/NOIR now, right? start fighting this thing with everything i've got. oh, and thanks to all of you for the help and encouragement! :)

  14. I'm done with my overnight shift in just four hours, then I'm off until Sunday. Yay!
my 12 hour shift ends in about 15 and i'm off 'til monday night

Jeepers...who the he!! do you people work for?? Satan or Hitler!?!?

LOL. i'm a respiratory therapist at a tiny little hopsital. yes, i'm the loogie girl, snot jockey, whatever you want to call us. it's all $$green$$ to me! (or sometimes red or orange, it varies with the flavor of jello served by the cageteria that day) sorry, i forget some people have weak stomachs, lol. i really am blessed with a good job. granted i do have to work 12 hour shifts, but i only work 3 nights a week.

i meant cafeteria, cut me some slack, i've had about 3 hours sleep since wednesday. i would like to thank casa for the dark circles under my eyes.

  15. love may very well be blind. but when you think of all the other things in this world you could be blinded by( everthing from hate to your little brothers BB gun) i think love is the most worthwhile. and sarah is right, you can never know for a fact what a man's intentions might be, that goes for men everywhere, but isn't that where trust comes in? i'm the type that trusts until i have a reason not to, my best friend doesn't trust until she feels it's been earned. there's nothing to say who's right and who's wrong. i'm afraid of missing out on something wonderful by not trusting and she's afraid of getting hurt by trusting. it's the classical is the glass half full or half empty thing. am i getting too far off track here? if i am, humor me. it's 1 am and i'm in the middle of a 12 hour shift! oh, and chas, what do they say about opinions? LOL
