  1. Thanks everyone!

Man, I just checked the tracking on the USCIS package I sent yesterday, and it says:

"We attempted to deliver your item at 11:06 AM on April 20, 2007 in MESQUITE, TX 75185 and a notice was left. A second delivery attempt will be made. If unsuccessful, we will hold it for five business days and then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

Huh? It's a P.O. Box, how can this be possible?

If you cant afford an attorney.... ask legeal aid... I had a big enough nightmare with an attorney.. I cant imagine doing this without one,... One little mistake or omission and your screwed... Just my opinion... I do wish you well however you decide

  3. No, I haven't tried contacting a Senator or Congressperson. I think I'll wait until the 5 month mark to do that. I'm just thinking it's enough now.

Why on Gods Green Earth are you waiting to contact a senator or congressman?... get to it now.... I contacted my congressional office as soon as I found out i was on AR/AP.... Hasnt helped much with my case, however when the consulate gets an inquiry every week from my congressmans office..at least they reply and they know we are on the ball here.

  4. Thank you all for your encouraging words. You don't know how much that means

    to me.

My fiance is holding up ok, I give him frequent updates and that helps but you

can imagine how we both have our bad days.

Eyes on the prize will get us through !

    Hi Omoba....

Believe me I can sympathize with you. My wife had her interview on Feb 13 in manila, and we are in this same sickening mess of a black hole hell. Its very disgusting what they do to us. Every day I go to work and pass all the illegal dayworkers hanging in the street while my wife is held captive in the phils by my government. The government i pay taxes to, which helps to support these lawbreakers with medical care, food, etc. The government I pay taxes to that provides jobs and paychecks to these govt workers who treat us like cattle, deny us our rights to fair adjudication, and common courtesy.

I try to remember that God sees everything and will call everyone into account for their actions. Having said that... it does test your faith and make you wonder why God doesnt get these slow, lazy, rude, or overzealous people out of our way faster... God be with you both

  5. Don't worry, our case took about a month after they received it to enter it into their system & mail out the packet 3. They should be mailing out your packet 3 soon.....don't worry........I can't believe I'm saying that......considering its the cairo embassy I'm referring to

hahaa.. but thank you.. INshallah very soon. Do you think I should have my husband get his medical Now???

My case was forwarded to embassy (approved for k3 from nvc on october 3 2006...) we got no other word except for interview in february appt which was delivered on jan 1...if that helps... regarding medical... I dont think you can do that ahead of time...that comes as part of the interview letter..at least thats the case in philippines...

  6. Can anyone tell me how long I can expect my wifes visa to be delayed?.. I was told by my congressmans office that they recieved her HK clearance, and are waiting to "hear back from the Phil Govt. regarding her civil registry" anyone else have this ?.. can you advise or share?.. I was advised it was "sent back for AR on Feb 26...her interview was feb 13... Thanks...

  7. My wife had a friend who was in similiar situation only it was 3 years since they had seen each other. Her husband claimed financial difficulty. The CO that she got at the Embassy in Manila was very harsh and said that is ridiculous that anyone can buy a ticket on a credit card and come see their wife and pay off the amount slowly. Also if he couldn't afford the few hundred dollars to pay for the processing of her papers then how could he afford to have a wife. He denied their request. Also, someone suggested getting a lawyer, but if can't fly there how can he afford a lawyer. i suggest serious talk with his employer and I'm sure the employer would let him off for 1 week to go to the interview to explain and show legitimate relationship to the CO

Try finding a legal aid service either in the US or in Manila - there are pro-bono providers of legal help out there, just start googling or looking around to find one. Lawyers in the US also have a duty to do some pro bono work at some point in their careers to make sure justice is available to more than just those who can afford it. It's time to get resourceful if you really want to make this work.

youve gotten good sound advice here...take it...no one is trying to discourage you..they are all speaking to the reality of the real world and how it operates... I know God can do all things yes... But many people dont believe in God...so you have a lot to overcome.... I wish you well... Most consuls care nothing about Love...its all business, and evidence to facts.....get your husband there! My attorney gave me hell for not going to the interview because I couldnt afford it....and now WE TOO are under further review!!!!

  8. Hi, hope someone can help me here. My wife had K3 medical and interview finished on feb 26th . The embassy says they are waiting to " hear back from the philippine government on civil registry" I will assume they mean they are checking our NSO marriage certificate and her NSO Birth certificate and maybe NBI clearance. Since we showed them originals at the interview...why this?...anyone ever hear of this or experience same?... and for goodness sakes how long does this take.......thank You
