    How do I use the I-131

    Hi you all

    I need some help here. I am gonna have to travel to my country and I am worry about using the I-131. Do you guys think that it is safe to use it? I am afraid to be denied entry or something. Another question that I have is, how do I use it? do you have to fill the white form when you arrive or you just go to the officer with your passport and the I-131??

    Just to clarify - by 'use the I-131' you mean use the AP documents you'll get as a result of an approved I-131 filing?

    (When you file an I-131, and it is approved, you will receive 2 documents - these are your AP/Advance Parole documents - when you re-enter the use, you will hand both documents to the CBP officer - he/she will stamp them, keep one and give you the other.)

    hi guys. I sent my I-485, I-765 and I-130 Last oct 3, and believe or not but i have not received the biometrics appointment letter yet. I got the I-765 and I-130 approved. I call the uscis and they said that they probably have used the fingerprints and photos taken at the airport when I got to the usa. Before that happened I called the uscis like 5 times to see whats going on with the biometrics appointment but they wont give me a clear answer... (everything is ok, you have to wait, blah blah blah...) so today I got an email form the california service center saying that they can´t process my case until the have the biometrics... so guys, what shloul I do? keep calling the uscis or something? Thank you for your Advice

    Hi mdc, why don't you schedule an infopass appointment and request them to issue the bio appt? Other people have done that successfully. Explain your situation and that you already have EAD approved and they should be able to help :)

    hey guys, I got another question... When you biometrics appointment is issue, can you see that online in your case status?

    No, my case online hasn't changed since 10/16, supposedly when they actually put all the info online for the first time.

    I have had no changes since then, but I received my Bio letter yesterday and it was dated 10/21.. so something HAS changed, it just doesn't show online.. who knows.. :blink:

    thank you for the info. Iam still trying to figure out based on what they send the appointment letters for the biometrics, maybe it depents on the local office where you have to go for biometrics... i dont know, I hope that i´ll get mine soon.

    thank u KIMCORENE for answering. I know... I need to be more patience! I guess that I am a little bit worry about the letter getting lost or something. Also I dont know where that letter will came from bc my case has been transfered to california, so I dont know if they will send it from chicago, california or the local office here in dallas. Well, the best thing to do right now is to leave it in God hands. He´ll know what to do

    Hi you all!

    I got my I485 noa the second week of october and I havent received the biometrics appointment letter yet, is anyone in my same situation? I am afraid that the letter will came too late or something. I am trying to call the uscis costumer service but when it says to insert the receipt number i cant go thru because the first 3 caracter are letters and I can´t dial that with the phone, there is another option to contact the uscis costumer service? In case that i get the letter and the appointment date already pass, how can I fix that problem? anyone had that experience before? thank you!

    I got my NOAS on the 3rd of October and I got my biometrics appointment letter like 5 days ago!

    if you don't hear anything from them by early November, then you should start worrying! ; )

    I called them and they said that i should wait like 6 month before calling them again for not receiving the appointment letter and if i receive it after the appointment date, I should call them back... what an answer!... so if it get lost i have to wait 6 month??!!

    Eso es super bueno! significa que lo mas probable es que no tengas entrevista. When cases are sent to the CSC, most of the times the applicant doesn't get an interview. Asi que congrats!

    You are suppose to press the key corresponding to the letter

    EXAMPLE: 1=A, B, C 2= D, E, F 7=P, Q, R, S etc

    so if your case id number starts with MSC you would dial 671

    Hi you all!

    I am trying to see my case online at the USCIS website and everytime that I try to put the receipt number it says:

    Case Status Retrieval Failed

    This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct.

    Has anyone had a problem with this??

    Also, the website says that the receipt number begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC) and the one that i have in my NOA starts with MSC.

    Anyone can help me?
