    May I ask the reason they didn’t approve right away? Officer said even unpaid ticket can postpone process

    I don’t know how long can’t see it should take really really long. But they can’t take your word for it and that’s why they had to check into it. My guess is if they don’t find anything and everything else is fine they will approve it.

  2. Hello, I had my citizenship interview based on marriage to US citizen. I passed exam and when asked questions I told her that 2 years ago I worked in Macy’s and was accused in shoplifting. Police was called but they let me go. I hired a lawyer and we went to prosecution office, and I was told that I won’t go to the court, but from now on I have to be good morale person only. I told immigration officer that I was not arrested, wasn’t fingerprinted, there was no court. Officer said I passed exam, they have enough documents proving my faith marriage but she needs more time for my background check. Question- what a possibility that my citizenship will be denied. Thank you
