  1. After sending the I129 to Chicago mine got transferred to MSC, stayed there for a few days and then went off to Vermont where it is now pending. It shouldn't be long until yours is transferred as well. MSC is nothing more than a PO station where the forms are sorted out and shipped off.

Is it necessary that the service center of a I-130 petition will be same as it's corresponding I-129F?

  2. Hey guys,

With the 1-130 and I-129f it says to send 1 passport style-photo of each of us. Now it also says to keep 2 copies of everything, does that mean that when getting passport style photos we should be getting 6 of me and 6 of him ? Or 2 of him and 2 of me are fine and we can just make photocopies of the pictures for the "copy of I-130" and "copy of I-129f" that we are keeping for ourselves ?

    Thanks

    Just prepare..

    I-130 Package

    1x photo of you

    1x photo of him

    I-129F Package

    1x photo of you

    1x photo of him

Just keep the digital copy of the photos, in case, you will need it in the future.

  3. Obviously I would like to call the NVC in Portsmouth and ask them how the heck things are going. But I am afraid to do so. I have this fear that some angry, underpaid staff memeber will answer, get POed and put our petition somewhere undesirable. Am I being paranoid? How would you pose the questions if you were to call?

My husband has the same thing in mind. Never bug USCIS ....or else, you'll get e in trouble.

  4. a lot of people seem to be accessing an account on a website to see the status of their file, which website is this and what information do i need to establish an account?

i am a newbie, so please let me know. Thanks, Take Care.

You can create an account here.

I really do hope you guys have no issues with your I-129Fs. It's not fair that the service centers didn't send us our NOA1s.

Good luck to all of you!

I see in your timeline that you don't have your NOA1 for your I-130 yet. Wow!! 30 days is too much...

I hope, you soon get it.

  5. Hi everyone,

my wonderful hubby had mailed I-130 and supposedly it was to be delivered on March, 9th to NSC. He misplaced the postal receipt, so we cannot track the package. I hoped they would cash the check and then we would know that the package was received. But it was 9 business days and check is not cashed yet.

Is there any other way to find out? How long should I wait before getting really worried and re-sending the whole package? How long did it take for your check to cash?

Also, apparently we made a mistake in our biographic forms - we both had periods of unemployment (his 3 months, mine 6 months), so we just skipped that period of time instead of writing "unemployed". Is that a big mistake that will require dealing with RFE/resubmitting the form or something else

    Any advice?

    Rika

We were in the same predicament as you have now. We sent our first I-130 package last Jan 8, 2007, but was never received by TSC. We don't have the tracking number too, so it was difficult to trace. I emailed USPS customer service but they were not able to help us since we have no tracking number on hand. We waited for about 4 weeks, but no NOA1 yet. And so on Feb 5, we sent another (2nd) I-130 package.

  6. ok now I just got married in Quezon City on the 2nd now I am here working the paper work with the K3 is the 129F all i need to get her son to come here with her??? He is 17 and wants to come here also and I want him to. the I130 doesn't say anything about him. Could use some advice.

Submit a separate I-130 for him. Don't not forget to enclose his BC. If his BC states that there was NO MARRIAGE between the parents, then the BC will suffice.

  7. Dear All,

My husband submitted the I-130 package for me alone last Feb '07 and already got the NOA1 for this. He was not able to submit I-130 for our daughter (since we do not know it that she has to have her separate I-130 petition). He already sent I-129F and just waiting for the NOA1 in the mail. Though we are planning for the K-3 process, we are open to the idea that we may push for CR-1 if the time difference is not that big. I tried to call USCIS hotline, but to no avail. The customer rep's answer to my query is kinda blurry. My question is....

when is the best time to send our daughter's I-130 petition?

should we wait for NOA1(I-129F) to arrive in the mail?

should we wait for NOA2(I-130)?if i will do so, will it affect my I-130's approval timeline?

should we send her (daughter) I-130 when we are already in the US? this means that we will go for K-3 all the way?

The most important consideration here is that I WANT TO TRAVEL TO THE USA WITH MY DAUGHTER AT THE SAME TIME.

    Regards,

    Tingting

  8. My husband has 2 previous marriages. When he applied for his Legal Capacity to Marry (in Cebu Consular Office) as a requirement for our civil wedding, he brought ONLY the latest divorce decree. The Consul did not look for the divorce decree with the FIRTS wife.. Will it be like this too during the interview (US Embassy in Manila)? We do not have to bring both (1st & 2nd marriages) divorce decrees.
