Hi,
I am a green card lottery winner, I spent one month in the USA in 2018 ...
I didn't find any job, the only thing i did is collect documents ( SSN, Drivers licence ,Green card) , also i opened bank account and made a deposit 3000$.
Since i didn't get any job in the USA, do i need to file taxes? I've done some kind of quiz on the IRS website and it says i don't need to file taxes.

There are no specific guides for f2a visa, i guess the I130 should be filled the same way for f2a visa as Ir1/cr1 ?
If there is someone who already went through the whole process for f2a visa please send me direct message.

From what i understand when i asked a month ago everyone told me it is IR/CR visa not F2a, i am really confused now for real

Both of us , we are from Serbia. But our country isn't participating in this visa waiver program ,,,

Okay guys, here is the game plan. During the next month i will be back in the US, probably will stay in the US for about 7 months, for that time i hope i can earn 125% over poverty line. after i get back i will marry my girlfriend. But there are some questions i still have, hope someone who recently went the process can answer.
Is it possible to make it all work if i spend 7-8 months every year in the US until we wait for her interview?
If she apply for a tourist visa , and get tourist visa, will that jeopardize the whole ir1/cr1 process if she come once a year to the US?
I was in US for only a month, can that be a problem for proving domicile?
Even if i make total earning this year over 125% of poverty line i read somewhere that i can be required to get income statements for past 3 years??
If i do the whole process with sponsor, does that have to be a relative or can be some friend or so? what documents should i require then, only about income?

Hey guys, i have a question, but i think there is no need to open new thread.
2018 was my first years in US, i gained green card through lottery .
I was in the US for a month, i didn't get any job, just used to open bank account and collect SSN, Drivers licence and green card.
So i didn't have any job, any income at all ,just made a deposit with money that i bring with me...
Do i need to file taxes at all? at least i did some kind of quiz at IRS.gov , and the result says i dont need to file taxes.... Just want to make sure with someone else ....

I am sorry guys , but what OP stands for? I know guy who went for a month to collect documents, after that he came back to Europe and didnt have any problem on the point of entry later

I am about to became economist, 3 exams left, i have been planning my own business, but would need to find some job first to raise funds for that... I would prefer some paid internship maybe, or regular job, because i have little experience

What do you guys think is the best job for 23 year old student? also prefer to find a job that pays more then minimum hourly wage?
People here talking bout high paying jobs, on the other side when i was in US most of the jobs i was looking to start with were paying minimum hourly wage ...

Its really complicated... i got my visa last year, went to US for a month to get social security number, bank account, drivers license and green card, now i am back in Europe to finish college. Basically it was kind of activation trip but lasted a month... And i got into this relationship just after i claimed my visa in passport. I really wish i met her like 3 years ago, but this is what life looks like

thanks for advice, i wil somehow make it all work. On the other side if i truly understand i do not have to be her visa sponsor, that could be someone else for example my relatives in US (they have their own business) .She has a job for more then 3 years and also apartment on her, so at least i hope that tourist visa is not going to be problem.

Thanks for the info, it is really complicated and it takes too long. we will probably wait until may to see if she get selected through lottery. I would also would like to know what happens if we start the process and she get selected through lottery, can we just cancel the F2A process or no.... I think the best way is until i became citizen, but it is more then 5 years 😕
Anyway thanks for the answers, lets hope for the best, good luck everyone

Thanks for quick answer, i don't want to do any fraud with US law, i was just considering all options.
Okay so one more question. What should be my yearly income? Because i am planning to spend about 7 months every year in the US , to qualify for citizenship , and the rest of time would spend with girlfriend in Europe

So i was reading forum for maybe 3 hours, and now i think i didn't understand a thing...Here is the situation
I am a green card holder (through lottery), and i would like to marry my girlfriend from Europe, i read some things and i don't get it for what kind of visa should we apply...
If i did understand here is the thing :
-Its CR1 visa we should apply? becuase K1 is for citizens...
-It takes about 2 years to complete the whole process?(maybe more then 2 years...)
Things i didn't understand:
-If she get a tourist visa before our marriage , could she use that visa to travel to the US until she get green card ?
-Do i need to have certain income , so she would be eligible?
i also read about some other options, so if she come to the US and we get married there it is hard to get greencard? about this it says success rate is 10%...
Eventually other option would be to wait until i became a US citizen, but 2019. will be my first year in US.
I am sorry if i post in wrong section, i got really confused after reading forum today

AR11 Change of Address
in USCIS Service Centers
Posted
Hi everyone ,
I won my green card on lottery.
I spent 1 month in the USA last year, and 3 months ago i moved to the other state and address.
I used to file AR11 online 10 days after i move, received confirmation number via e-mail, but when i login to the USCIS it still shows my old address, i am not sure if that is good or no?
When i went online to check the case status it says error: the application receipt number is invalid...
Any advice what should i do? Call UCSIS or something?
