  1. We filed end of October and my I-485 is still not on line. I don't think it ever will be. We called several times, made an infopass, and were told we are still in system (still waiting on security check). Our AP and EAP came in mail first then on line. Most people here at Visa Journey can get to check it on line after biometrics, but there some of us who just get the wrong person handling our case.

  2. I applied for AOS in end of October. Also nothing on line for AOS 1-485. did an info pass to Charlotte last Friday because my step-daughter ages out of k-2 status in July, and we had heard nothing yet on line or mail from Missouri or Charlotte. The clerk brought my wife and daughter up on computer and said we were stilling pending in Missouri(MSC), and they could not speed up FBI checks. Our attorney had flagged our case as expediated as allowed for her case , but it has not made any difference so far. The clerk said that North Carolina will be adding a center in Raleigh and like half their Charlotte staff was there getting it set up. He said he would call and leave a message at MSC, but then again, I am not sure he understood about aging out. So, no new news other than North Carolina should have 2 centers up and running before long. Good luck to you July and June folks , you have been neglected for sure. Try info pass for the heck of it.

  3. We applied AOS end of October 07, but 1-485 still not one line. We made one call to 800#, and talked to someone who was hard to understand. He said something about probably still in security check. Its time to call again, and then I will make an info-pass if no satisfaction. If still nothing , I will contact my attorney whom we hired, because after K-1 experience, I think it is easy to get set on their back shelf somewhere. We received work and travel documents, biometric on Dec. 07 but still no way to check status of I-485.

  4. so, march 10th is here, now what?? has anyone whose case has been pending for more than 180 days in the name check process called USCIS and found out what happens now?? i called a month ago and they said to wait till march 10th, well march 10th is here now and i've been in the name check process for a year and 2 months now and still nothing, so what happens now??

[/quoi'm the same but i d0 konw somebody who was waiting like us from the same city i live in got his interview but he has a lawyer i'm going to call the ins tomorrow and if i didn't got the answer i was waiting for i will get info pass and the sue them its 3 years now

What is it with the Charlotte center? It appears to be slow in setting up inteviews and posting on line. Our I-485 status has never been posted on line. We started AOS end of Oct 07 and my step daughter "ages out" in July08. I think I will do an info pass later this month and talk to a real person, and tell we flagged our application with age out and to please expediate. Hope you that have been waiting much longer get your green cards soon!

  5. Any October or November AOS filers who received all receipts still unable to retrieve any status of I485 on line? When I enter my wife and daughters receipt #'s it says unable to retrieve, or incorrect etc. I called the 800 # and they said it probably being processed, and just behind in putting status on line. If that's the case, why are even later filers able to check on line right after biometrics etc (theirs was in December). ? It sure is frustrating not to be able to know where we are in the system. We could retreive the AP and the EAD when the were ready, but not before.

  6. Hi, i am sure u are not the only 1, if u search u will find so many just like you, that they cant check their status online, about what u asked if ur case still at Charlotte office or transferred To CA. if i am in ur shoes i will make an info pass. or Call USCIS. and they will tell all about ur case.

    Good Luck.

Sand- congrats on your GC. Yes, I guess I will give it a few more days, then call USCIS, if I get the usual answer to just wait, then I may do a info pass. My step daughter will age out in July if we don' t get GC by then.

  7. My fiancee and her daughter(age 20) will have their interview in Moscow in end of August. Hopefully they will be here by September 13 and marriage in October. We will file AOS asap , but her daughter will be 21 in July of 08. If they can't get approval and green card by her birthday(in other words , over age 21), and the 9 months still no action, will daughter be made to return to Russia and out of k-1 status. And would she be prohibited from reapplying for 10 years? Anyone had a experience on this in limbo situation. I have read about several discouraging cases like this and just want to be prepared for all my options including getting an attorney early on, or other options. thanks

  8. Congratulations wissooner! Thanks for the encouraging report. DHL aside, the main thing is: you got the visa approved, and now can continue with your wonderful future. I hope all goes as well with my Marina the end of August. Good Luck to you :) -jordoc

  9. Congratulations for hanging in there Turboguy! I knew there was light at the end of the tunnel for you too. I still can't believe Marina actually has an interview end of August. I retained the lawyer in moscow we used to finish seeing us thru the interview . Your roller coaster ride will be over soon , and maybe we can move on. We can handle the rest of the customary red tape once she is here, , because at least we will be together. Hope you went out and celebrated at least one night there on the island

  10. I am still in administrative review at embassy level since March 20th. coming up on 3 months. Very lilttle information forth coming from state dept or embassy in Moscow, other than what everyone else here has mentioned. My 129f application was Dec 06. I will post followup if any thing happens. I hope the 3 month minimum will happen for us. Good luck to all. The wait is painful. -jj (hang in there Turboguy)

  11. administrative processing/review supposedly can be triggered by a variety of name variations, prior visits to U.S. by visa applicant, prior k-1s, criminal records, suggestion of scam marriage etc. I have been in administratiive review for almost 3 months(at Embassy level) My 129f was filed early Dec 06. She had 1 prior k-1 and returned to Russia well before visa was up. This is my 1st K-1 We have no skeletons in closet, but there is no rhyme or reason why they couldn't complete it by now in this day of computers. We are not listed yet for interview as of July, so will be at least who knows when. They will give you no specific reason. It is painful to be patient when you know you have a good honest loving relationship and just want to get married and have family. Good Luck!
