Hello Just wanted to share my experience as it could be very stressful after you receive a 221g
My wife of 9 years and mother of our 2 children had her interview for an immigrant visa via ds260 in Cuidad Juarez on December 31st.
We where issued a 221g and asked to mail in My Original Birth Certificate along with her Mexican passport. It was very upsetting as the checklist of requiered documents did not include petitioners birth certificate. we had it shipped to us and we sent it in and it arrived at the embassy on Jan 7th I had to fly back to the us and its been 3 long weeks almost 4 since i've hugged my wife and kids. With the government shut down and all the wall issues it was very stressful and caused me alot of anxiety at times, not knowing when my family would be home. We are know awaiting her package so they can return home.

I would appreciate any information as to what is next? do we receive a tracking number? if so by when?
