I just had my interview this morning. I passed the test and was recommended for approval. I just checked my USCIS account and it is showing my status is approved!😊

    congrats!!..

do you mind if i ask you about some of your experience at the interview ?

did they ask you details about your job ?

what documents did you submit with your N400 or did they ask you any documents at your Interview ?

    thank you

I say go for it now. Your offense was no bid deal. I had an offense too including jail and I was hesitant when I applied for my citizenship but all went well.

Hi. at your interview did they ask you to explain why you did the crimes ? and did you plead guilty to less charges on your cases or did you get convicted of your initial charges ?

i have 1 arrest record for possession of 2 forged Credit Cards in January 2013 . and i pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct which is violation and spent 20 days in jail but i am really worried for it to affect my citizenship now, i didn't know pleading guilty was bad in the eyes of USCIS.

if you can give me some advice on what to say or share your experience at your interview i'd really appreciate it.

During my N400 interview, there were a few questions regarding my past criminal history but it was more of a fact-checking exercise at that point.

  4. Hi please i need your to hear your experience of your N400 interview about job history. I have an interview coming, and i am preparing for the answers on my application. i have a lot of jobs. i am self employed i help cell phone stores start their businesses and expand and i do a lot of online businesses like selling accessories, tools, softwares, parts. and i pay taxes of course. do they ask for details because i know that will take me little while to explain everything i do and how i do it because i feel like my job is complicated to explain it to someone thats not experienced in it.

    let me make it short.

do they ask details of your business or if you are self employed or job details ?

Guys, I do not know how I did this..but I took this questions and answered "No" because for 2 years I didnt have to file taxes as I was a full time student. I realize that I should have answered Yes!!  I have filed my taxes for the last 3 years when I have had income.
My form N-400 reflects my student status but I am now scared about this...as my interview is coming up. I plan to let the officer know about this mistake.
How big of a deal do you think this will be?

did you had to fix that question at the interview or was your answer correct first ?

Not too long after all! Got text update yesterday that my oath ceremony letter had been mailed. Appeared this morning on my Documents tab. Ceremony scheduled for February 20, 2019. So a two-week turnaround from interview to oath!

congrats... by the way did you have any criminal record on your application and did they ask you about those crimes ?

Disorderly conduct is not a traffic violation. I think USCIS might say you lied on your removal condition application.

sorry if i confused you. i know for sure my case was dropped to Traffic Violation because if i lied USCIS would know that i lied for my removal condition, and my lawyer he's the one told me my case is TRAFFIC VIOLATION, and on the removal condition application they only ask if you were arrested for other crimes than TRAFFIC VIOLATION.

this is what i was charged with at the end of my case.

    Conviction Charge
    Description

    Dis/Con:Unreasonable Noise

    Conviction
    Charge

We’re you arrested before your green card interview? I feel like they are only really interested in stuff that happen since issuing your Green Card.

i was arrested when i had CONDITIONAL Green Card and was in US for 2 Years and crime was for possession of FORGED CREDIT CARD , and same year after my arrest i filed for my 10 years green card and i got it with no issues and i didnt even mention on my removal condition application that i was arrested because they only ask if you were arrested for a crime not a Traffic VIOLATION.

my case was dropped to Disorderly conduct. Basically traffic violation. what do you think is going to happen at my interview ?
