Congrats !!!!!  My interview is tomorrow at 1:20 pm. At the same field office, Oakland Park, FL.   Can you share your experience? please,  what questions, ect.

    Thank you Nikki,

The questions are computer generated : one right from the first amendment, 2 us holidays, governor of your state, why some states have more representatives, for how many years do we select senators,1800 war. Reading question who was Abraham Lincoln, writing I mentioned it in my post

please go through your application and memorize what you submitted, and I’m sure I will see you on Friday

  2. Time to take a deep breath and be thankful to see this long process finally done.

    Oackland Park Fl.

Applied on January 2nd 2019, i751 was still pending, approved 10 days after the biometrics, on January 26.

Aug 21st we schedule your interview for October 1 at 8:40.

i was called at 8:50, IO was professional and not talkative, didn’t try to be nice even though he saw I was so nervous 😥

asked me if I have any corrections to what I submitted and I said yes; I made 2 mistakes in my 19 trips out of the US( total of 280 days), then he asked me why I’m averaging 3 trips a year to my country and I answered him to visit my elderly parents and take care of them.

.After that he asked me if I’m available to go to the oath ceremony at 7 this Friday (10/4), the same happened to my friend last Wednesday and had her interview on Friday at 1:30pm.

best of luck to everyone and I hope you all get these chills soon

I am currently traveling over sea. Will be back until March 22, thay's why I cannot get it done on the scheduled time.

It is for i-751, never applied for N400. I do not know why they asking for the biometric a year later, maybe I missed the old biometric letter which comes after NOA1 few weeks later.

I am coming back to the US on March 22, the appt time is March 11. Hopefully they will accept my walk-in and the reason why I cannot come at scheduled time.

Then you need to call USCIS and reschedule the appointment, if you just miss it and don’t show up your application will be considered abandoned, so please don’t take that risk, they are flexible in rescheduling so call them

The letter is for biometric. They scheduled on this March 11, but I will not be home until March 22 :)

I think I will miss the appt and go get it done when I come back. Anyone has experience about getting biometric done later than scheduled time?

If you are still here now and you have the letter in hand, go walk-in on Monday, the delay or reschedule will be against you. Good luck

I just realized the update is now saying they transferred my case to another field office on February 6.

the first update about a case transfer was on February 5.

did they actually ship it to two different places in two days? Why do I get an update now about February 6???? Is it back in California, is it still in Nebraska, nobody knows.

    This is beyond ridiculous.

Call the 800 number and it will tell you the location of your case

Thank you for your information, may I ask how long it take for USCIS approve your I751 case? Was your case transferred to other center?

I wish I joined VJ earlier, after checked the forums I realized I'm not alone, Many people are just like me, got so frustrated. I check my case status 1000 times a day wishing miracles. but nothing ever change.

I try to get myself busier but I still think of the case.. after all it has been over a year and It is not very convenience to leave the country without green card.. Always feel unsafe. Just hoping USCIS will speed up so everyone get their case approved.

Nothing wrong with leaving the country as long as you don’t stay away for over than 6 months, I had 14 trips overseas in 3 years and I was approved last month so please don’t worry about as long as you travel with the extension letter( I assume you only need the 18 months). They took me to a room the first time I used it and took me 45 min to go thro, after the first time I was going thro in 5 minutes.

good luck my friend and hopefully you will hear good news soon

Tar999- It can happen, but after 24 hrs, you can check.  However there is no point checking everyday, if you registered email address and cell phone , you will get update if your case is approved and they are not moving first, so it is a waiting game and if you apply for N-400 while ROC is pending, then good luck, it will be a longer waiting time.

Just for your information, lots of September, October, Nov, 2017 are still waiting including myself

I don’t agree with you that applying for an400 while ROC is pending will be a longer wait time, I’m a January filer wac18096*** and I applied for N400 on Jan 2, 10 days after my biometrics I was approved, so please don’t mislead the people in the thread, attorneys are the ones who asked me to apply to speed the process

I received a notification via email 3 days ago about my new card being produced. I checked the case tracker app, and it reflected the same, and so did the old USCIS website. This is the message per both the email and case tracker app:

"On February 11, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WAC18097XXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us."

The new website https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ is still showing the last update as "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" from June 18, 2018. Not sure what the deal is.

I will notify you all if I do receive my new green card within the next couple of weeks - fingers crossed! :)

Once I get the new GC I will file the N-400 with the most recent tax returns.

Mine still showing we ordered your new card since January 26 and received it on feb 2, so you should have yours 6-10 days from the notice

Greetings friends! I checked both the old and new sites today. New site has no movement but the old site says our case was transferred to a new jurisdiction *today* Feb 13 - didn't say which new office. This is the first update of any kind since the receiving the 18 month extension letter.

Our case had been at VSC until now. We'll see what happens.

You can call the 800 number and it will tell you the name of the new office

I do think that my n400 bios pushed through my i751 approval. I never received a bios apt for my i751 and after I walked in for my n400 bios I got approved for my i751. 2 weeks later.

Also in my opinion since n400 are taking forever you start "gaining" some time and you might get approve on for your i751 while getting on your n400. that is just my personal opinion and experience.

    Good luck!

Same thing with me, I applied for N400 while I751 was still pending, 10 days after the biometric i was approved

Rami1T - Congratulations, first of all!

I will guess you are a CSC filer.  Are you?

    If you are...

I agree with you that we should file N400 as soon as the window opens, but the determination whether you will get I-751 approved faster all depends on whether your I-751 file has already been assigned to an adjudicator.  Your case was most likely on the desk of someone when you applied for N400, and that is why it was not transferred to NBC to schedule a combined interview at your local office.  It is clear from this forum that CSC has been approving January 2018 files steadily in the past few weeks, so it is not surprised that your case was one of them.

The rule, I was told, is that once N400 is ready to be scheduled for an interview by NBC, NBC will first check if I751 is still pending.  If yes, an I751 file will be requested.  If I751 file is still in an offsite storage, it will be sent to NBC to be batched together with your N400 file, then they both will be transferred to your local office for a combined interview.

If an I751 file has already been assigned to an adjudicator at CSC, VSC, NSC, or TSC, N400 will continue to the local office alone.

    Thank you GBOS,

I totally agree with you, just wanted to share my experience so the folks don’t hesitate to apply for the N400 while waiting for the I751

  14. Good evening everyone,

this evening at 7:00 pm I received a text message and an email that my status was updated, run to the app and it says new card is being produced( case trucker).

I applied on 1/2/2018 NOA 1/4/2018 WAC18096*****, the last update was 4/12/2018 your case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction .

the funny thing my wife called this afternoon to the automated phone number at 4 pm and it was still saying on 4/12 was transferred to Arlington Virginia.

one more thing to share, I applied for N400 NOA 1/2/2019 and fingerprint was done 01/16/2019, advised by the attorney not to waste time and wait for the GC.

good luck to you guys and I hope you hear good news soon.
